Since I've been back I'm reminded of something I noticed back when I played but didn't have the terminology for.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Poe%27s_law

There are a lot of people who I can't tell if they are genuinely stupid people or they are masterfully depicting a stupid character. I usually tend to think it's the former, but these Schrodinger's morons could be pulling the wool over my eyes. Therefore I propose that anyone who it is indeterminate if their player is a doofus or the character is can be said to be "Poe-playing".

I can't think of a lot of people from back then, but Svardin comes to mind.

Replace the word stupid with "insane" for Svardin, and yeah. Dude is legit insane.

Svardin did make hunting OTF interesting. Ya never knew when his army was going to enter OTF and cause 15-20 Ithzir to appear in your room (and most other rooms in your zone). Without CM Vanish I would have had to hunt elsewhere.

You are confusing Svardin with Sabreon. Svardin has lived West of the spine for at least 15+ years.

Hoodtralfeck is my nomination to this thread, though it is more of a real life thing. I genuinely can't tell if he is just the most masterful troll ever or really that stupid. How the fuck do you fall on an ice pick!?

You're right. Duh me.

How would you apply this theorem to erotic role play?

I'm sorry, the answer we were looking for is seducefully.
