Can someone help me understand the process for buying something for cash?

What is needed?

How are the transactions completed?

1. Sign up for Paypal and attach some money sources.

2. Win an item.

3. Get the seller to give the paypal e-mail address to sent the money to.

4. Send the money to the paypal address (usually via friends and family so the seller doesn't have to pay a fee).

5. Receive item from seller.

Some people also use middlemen for transactions of large value with people they don't know. But the process itself is fairly simple and straight forward. as Khariz outlined.

Eh, I guess. We take care of our own pretty good if you happen to get screwed, which is pretty rare. And like Ardwen said, plenty of us willing to act as middleman. Been middle-manning GS transactions for a good 20 years now myself.
