Today I was accosted by 4 people for wearing a Yankees cap. I like my cap, it's fitted, and I've had it for about 3 years and am therefore reluctant to let it go. Anyway, the following is a list of non-Yankees fans.
- The CEO of JABA (Jefferson Area Board of Aging; PB you might want to have a chat with him) who was at a Philanthrop panel I was forced to attend. JABA is a charity group whose central goal is to serve seniors and their families; while talking about the difficulties of aging, he mentioned that he never thought he would live to see the day the Sox would win the World Series. He then proceeded to laugh at me.
- My transgender housekeeper "Allison," who has a deeper voice than me. I don't even have a joke for this one.
- Tenured economics professor Ken Elzinga, who somehow managed to tie in antitrust policy with the Yankees.
- The 35 year old 400 lb wanna-be rocker who runs the lock-and-key operation in my dorm area.
