Not that that many people wouldn't visit PC at one point or another, but so many at nearly 10 in the morning? Just seems freaky to me. :O

I didn't see that. But another interesting thing is on 10-27-2004 this site had a total of 228 people on it near 2am.

My guess is we posted a link or thread here that was posted on some other board. And the people from that board all clicked the link that opened up our thread.

Either that or Klaive's server attack has failed once again in shutting us down and having everyone go over to his 4 poster board.

Yeah but the guests were all doing weird things, either seeing threads, or seeing people's profiles, or editing profiles/posts. It's all very fishy.

I am going to look into the issue, check I.P. addresses and server logs find out if we're being farmed.

The other possibility is that members are accidently being reported as guests.

We did have the "regularly logging people off" situation - but that many users in the middle of the night?

I've noticed that the "Who's Online" thing gets really weird some times. I've noticed 50 (or so) guests online and they are all looking at one thread, then about 2 minutes later they all would be looking at another thread. It's like it's registering one guest for 50 people and when they change threads, all guests are switched too.

Well in the past I've noticed that when many people are looking at the same thread, and not even a current thread, if you click on what they're looking at it's an avatar.

When someone links their avatar to a picture in a thread, it makes Who's Online go all screwy. But I have a feeling someone is screwing with the boards somehow.

I think that shows up when people are sending a U2U although a guest cant send a U2U. Weird, bur when I see it usually if I hover over the link its definitely the U2U thing.

Yeah, thats what it is. I opened my U2U, opened another PC window, then logged out. Checked Who’s Online and saw guest in -=- SECRET -=-.
