Veil Iron Plate

I was reading up about veil iron, https://gswiki.play.net/Veil_iron , I see that it is "magic draining."

If I had plate made or veil iron, would this drain my magic spells off me? If not, what does it do?

You might be thinking of Kroderine plate. Now THAT is magic draining.

I have 6x veil iron studded leather. So you might be able to enchant the item.

My question is, why does a magic resist metal have no special properties on armor? I know thatbif you have a veil iron weapon you can do certain combat maneuvers, but I feel like it should at least increase you defense to magic.

One of the "future plans" that will never be really worked on because too many cash events, is an overhaul of the properties of metals. Meaning, instead of only some metals having special properties almost all of them would. This would almost certainly come with a lot of people being dissapointed and or huge nerfs to some materials.
