GoA activates upon credit card charge around 1-2am est from the simu servers(denied credit card emails come around 130am). So you would not be able to double dip

The GoA is a good deal. If you prepay your subscription for a year, then you'll save enough at 10% per month to get more than one free month. Just be sure you're going to keep playing for a year before you make the investment.
