"Plenty of teams would love to have Darko Milicic, who complained about playing time this week. A rumor soon followed that he wants a trade. Eighteen months ago, a lot of people in the NBA thought Milicic was a better NBA prospect than Carmelo Anthony and Dwyane Wade. Joe Dumars could easily improve the Pistons in the short term by trading Milicic. He hasn't even considered it. That's all you need to know." Detroit Free Press
It's strange that the Free Press leaves the article at .... "Next year is his breakout year. It wasn't this centuries version of Big Country Bryant Reeves or Sam Bowie. I know he's only played in 16 of this years 38 games, but give him 8 months. He'll be a difference maker!"

Reason #341 why Darko is stuck on the Pistons roster for another year and a half:
Garbage time against a woeful, tired Hornets team which was on the tail end of a long road trip, Larry Brown decides to put in Darko...a few minutes later, Brown was forced to put Rasheed Wallace back in because Darko was getting killed on D and the Hornets were back within 9 points.

Darko isn't real great.. but he HAS gotten better from last year.. now if that ends up meaning he'll be awesome some day? I don't know if I buy that, but he's not AS bad as he was.

Darko is the 9th man in their rotation? They are playing Anthony Goldwire, the 11th year man out of Houston, in front of Darko. WHO THE FUCK IS ANTHONY GOLDWIRE?!?! Half the draft class is getting more PT than Darko. He was a bust.
Yeah, they could have picked someone better, he's too much of a project and got his money too early, I don't know if he'll ever play up to the hype.
Although he could put up a fair 10-15 a game five years from now.
