Someone please make a donation so we can have a blessing put forth on the PC and possibly some of its less intellectually endowed members.

I requested a success blessing on goat.cx. I hope this doesn't mean I'm going to hell. :saint:
At first I was cracking up, and then I was still cracking up. Then I was still cracking up, but then, it hit me like a flaming sack of shit... This is actually a really good marketing ploy. Then I was not cracking up because someone is getting rich off this shit and it's not me.
Damn it, I should have thought of this first, mang.

I've always thought about opening up a Church. What an easy way to make a living without paying taxes.
<Do you have a website, Christian or otherwise?
By adding your url to our website, our blessing algorithm will visit your site and bless all of the files it finds there. The site will then be added to our list of Blessed Sites.>

Reminds me of the 15th century catholic priests selling 'tickets' to heaven (it was called something specific but I cant recall what it was) and pocketing the money that the gullable parishoners give them in order to ensure they got into heaven.

Proof that capatilism is evil.
Indulgences! yes, the get out of sin free card. Covered that in my E. History 1500 to WWI class. Loved it.
Thanks Raven.

Indulgences weren't tickets to heaven, they just shortened your wait in purgatory.

Yes, I remember something like that from my theology classes. A lot of rich people would pay to have people pray for them once they died to make the wait quicker. Purgatory itself was invented to control the masses and keep them in line. It's all pretty disgusting but religion is the opiate of the masses after all....

Many people are stupid. I doubt that Christians have necessarily cornered the market.
I think religion back then, took advantage of the ignorance of the masses. To its defense it did bring enlightenment and education through the efforts of the Jesuits. However, it was shameless in its effort to retain power.
I think as people on a whole become more educated to their world around them the less they are inclined to look to religion for most answers. This one of the greatest challenges that religion today faces IMO, aside from the fanatacisim, greed and pedophilia also associated with most forms.
This is probably topic for another thread so I'll stop here.
