Price Check On: an urnon-edged mithril sword

Hi guys,

So I'm not quite sure what to value this weapon at, and we're going to have to do some testing on it still. When Archaeles first sung to it he didn't get an enchant message on it at all and said the weapon was 0x. I later sung to it on my bard and it said 3x, so I plan on playing with it to see if it has some chaos properties.

But as it stands, right now we're 100% it's 3x and has acid flares. Given the rarity of urnon being used in weapons, what kind of price are we looking at for something like this?

If this actually turned out to be a chaos weapon (I'm 90% sure it isn't), it'd be super depressing.

Was it a T5? There has to be something special if it was given urnon. That's not a metal that's accidentally used. Maybe it's really 5x with acid flares? That'd make sense as a T5. If it's really 3x, there must be more than acid flares.

Or the GM really wanted to troll someone (given that it's a backsword to boot).

Well now I'm confused. Someone posted a riding sword on the 2017 EG prize list, but a riding sword is a backsword. They listed it as a bastard sword. They also mention SWDW.

I might have said bastard sword at some point, since backsword was like "Wut." But it is deffo a backsword.

Is the riding sword on the wiki someone else's? Did you have someone assess this sword?

Bastard Sword Base, +15, corrosive flares (acid), somewhat damage weighted 0/20 services.

I think we need to do some more testing, when Arch sung to it, it sang as +0, when I sang to it on my bard it sang at +15. It might just have been a misunderstanding, but who knows!


Did it maybe morph into a short sword and have a description change? maybe it does that?

Or I could have been in EG brain, which is why I went back and checked. Looks like I did originally say bastard sword. My guess is PEBKAC. It is a backsword. I went ahead and updated the EFC, not touching the wiki.

It is mine, I originally posted the wrong sword base. I did not put it up on the wiki.
