This is for those of you who are playing at partypoker under the "eagle" bonus code, or those who want to.
We are at 100 members. At this point I will be hosting 4 free tournaments, winner will get 5m silver. Also, new members signing up using "eagle" bonus are getting 20% plus seven free rolls on first deposit.
A number of us gemstone players are on and playing regurarly in a game for silvers. Also, some of you old-timers if your still tied to the "eagle" bonus it will let you enter the locked room "EAGLE" once a week. Check it out- free play. 1m silvers awarded per week for winner. Normally 6-8 of us play
This Sunday if we hit 110 members, will host a bigger tournament. Winner to get 20m in silver or might have a 20m prize pool. Either one. I figure prizes could be 10m, 6m, 3m, 1m.
Sound like a decent prize pool?

WoW seriously needs some side games. If only the mini-games in CosmosUI (connect 4, etc) were able to allow betting.....

I do play Gemstone still, though that isn't really "me" in there lately. A friend uses Tayvin to spell up.

I guess you are right and after talking to a couple of the poker crew it looks like we can give a "choice" to the winners. Whatever you win will be stated in gemstone silver but you can opt for gold in WoW (World of Warcraft) at the rate of 3m silver equaling 100 gold. So if you win 6m silver you can get 200 gold. It will probably take a day longer for delivery though. Silver wins are done pretty much right away. Normally soon as tourney ends

Since there is no cross-realm type system in place for gold/silver/copper transfers.. I doubt very much this could be accomplished. Since there are probably some 40 servers and horde and alliance on each one.. the only way you could do it is to have money on 80 different characters.

Someone who does a lot of selling on ebay will take GS silvers and deliver the gold ANYWHERE in WoW. So if we dont have someone in a particular spot, he said he would do it.
No- we havent used him yet but his ebay feedback was 99+%. But either way tournament is free and really it is just for fun

I don't play poker "Just for Fun" because if there is no real risk in it.. there is no real fun in it.

I know someone who has use for silvers. I'll hold them (and maybe spend some) until you return.

We are also setting up some silver games too. Our first one was last week, each play chip equates to 1000 silver.
