View Full Version : Is it safe to unlearn CMAN DISARM if you're a master of disarm through warrior guild?
I've a got a char that's both a master of disarm through the warriors guild AND has 5 ranks in disarm through CMAN. Is it safe to unlearn those 5 CMAN DISARM ranks? As in, recovering those 30 cman points will have no effect on warrior guild mastery of disarm, right? If I understand the mechanics right, it's a waste of 30 cman points to have both.

I'm gonna say yes as in it's safe to unlearn, and yes it's a waste of CMAN points to have both.

x2 put those points somewhere else. the guild skill is more powerful anyway.
The only reason to Maybe carry both and I don't have any hard numbers to back this up might be, to defend against being disarmed.. either way as a warrior you shouldn't have much trouble with it

I'm pretty sure a GM commented at one time that having training in both the guild and CMAN version of maneuver doesn't make you better at the maneuver. For defense, I image it uses the better of the two. You can unlearn CMAN Disarm if you mastered the guild version. If you are still worried about being disarmed, pick up Cunning Defense with those spare points. But remember, critters can still disarm you with open rolls if they get lucky.
Thanks for the responses confirming my suspicions, have untrained the cman disarm.
