View Full Version : Instances and Raids

Official threads for people looking to meet up to quest, do instances, and raids. Figure that a central place to plan like this would be nice!

I don't know how many quests you did in 1k needles Arkans, but we could do Arikari (elite), Hypercapacity Gizmo (elite), Protect Greycloud (the one where the three centaurs attack), and that escort one on Darkcloud Pinnacle. Let me know.

I'm in for those.

Had a variable evening in TM last night (my questing there is going to be at odd hours, just so I can get through stuff).

Me and stabbed started off with the Battle of Hillsbrad stuff but he had already embarked on a bit of a spat with a 30 rogue by the time I got there. We then encountered a 31 hunter and caned him and the 31 hunter met up with a 32 hunter and they killed Stabbed twice (I managed to lose them when they came after me - pretty shit and dozy hunters if you ask me).

Anyway, when Stabbed decided on finding a SFK group instead, I stayed to finish off the first part of that quest. I figure on seeing that Stabbed had spirit rezzed, the hunters lost heart and went to find some other lowbies to gank. So I stayed in the corner of the field next to the keep and completed that quest (Dear Stabbed, move away from the road).

Getting back to hand the quest in was more of a pain and I died twice to one shot fireballs from some 60 mage or other just outside the mill.

Decided to try on the spidor ichor and bear tongue quest and, from experience knew that the spider ichor is more often dropped across the river. Started killing a bear along the way and was one-shot ambushed by a 60 rogue. When I rezzed noticed a 28 rogue killing snapjaws in the river...so got into a bit of a battle with her.

After a couple of attempts each at killing each other and both of us using our leet getting-away skills, she killed me and I killed her back in what was a fairly interesting and well-matched battle.

I changed my UI around halfway, because where I was getting excitable in the middle of a fight, I was missing the button, clicking on the ground and changing the angle of the camera so I was looking down on everything (and subsequently throwing me off so I didnt know what was going on :/).

Now have it set up nicely and shouldnt have that problem any more....though sadly that means that if I get caned where I should win from now on, I really do suck

Anyway, my point was that I need to do some more of the 1k needles quests so will be up for that...wanna spend about ten minutes though just getting the 8 ranks I need to be able to make thistle tea (how stupid that the first 50 ranks in cooking need stuff from Mulgore only?)

Was thinking as well about Zoram Gar and BFD. That should be a little easier for us that Hillsbrad (save for the strange hour questing)

Anyone up for that?

I will mosdef do BFD. There are still some blue items that would be awesome for me in there.

Lets aim for that over the weekend then

I have one quest left to do in BFD (the last boss) so I'd go along. Also, I have a TON of red quests from 1k Needles that might be the ones you are on, Hulkein. That an a roguefeather quest.

Anyone else up for getting a decent group together for Hillsbrad tonight or some of the other quests that are red for the 30's range?

Also, think RFD is possible at level 31? If so, anyone up for doing that?

I did that as well for the first part.. but in the 2nd part, you need peasants and the only place I found them was the garden area right off the main road.

We ended up with a pretty good group going in there. 1 rogue, 1 shaman, 1 priest, 1 warrior and a mage. We got all the way through until the wolf boss and the shaman had to leave. We got another rogue in and quickly killed the boss there.

But GOD DAMN MOTHER FUCKER, we tried 3 times to kill Argoyl or whatever the final boss' name is. Is there a trick to him? First time we sent the warrior and the 2 rogues right to him.. we got him down to like 40% health when he started popping out all over the place.. throwing out nasty ass spells that quickly killed our only healer. From there, we all ended up dying each time.

I'm pretty sure if we had another healer or two we could do it.. but is there any trick? I tried using some DOT stuff in hopes that would keep him from transporting but it didn't.

Yeah, thats the hardest part, the second bit...and because of the chance to get slammed - as you found out yesterday - rather than because of the mobs.

The third part is the blacksmiths which wont be two bad and the fourth part s in the keep which is much better.

If you are doing it at 31 you need a bloody good group.

I took Sade and stealthed up to the final boss with Cay yesterday because needed to finish that instance (Cay is 40 Sade is 60) and managed to only just kill the boss with one or two hits worth of HP left.

There are some pretty rough groups of linked mobs in RFD, though the instance is fairly straight forward, so if you are doing it, make sure you have a competant group - preferably with some higher levels to balance out your nubness :P

Any volunteers for RFD with me then? One of the quests dishes out a killer mace for me! :P

Ok, so we have a nice group for 1k, me Stabbed, Arkans, Lefallah. We should be able to rip through that pretty quickly.

If we group up tonite to do them, maybe we can go on to an instance. I'll look up on Thottbot the different instances our level range and get the quests for them since I don't know if I have them all.

Oh, and down the road, we can do Gnomeregan. I have a couple for that, but they're still red 35's.

I want to do another instance tonight. I need to start doing more of them to save up my mount. Thinking about doing Scarlet Monastery.

I was thinking of Scarlet Monastary tonight. I need to check my quest log (I'll do that when I get home and I leave in about 45 min) on what I have left in 1k Needles, but I know it is a fist full of quests that need to be done, but are red. I definately do say we meet up and try to get something done though.

You probably have the same ones I do for 1k, a 35 and a 37. The 37 is in booty bay though ><

05-26-2005, 02:25 PM
I know we're sharing those because when I checked my quest log it showed that we did. Doubt we can handle them now, but I'm sure there is other stuff we could do tonight.

This might be a stupid question. But what is there to gain by killing another player ?
