A plump grey-bearded scripmaster flags you over and says, "Here are your winnings, Maetriks." He shows you an arena winnings package. He continues, "Great show, woman! We were impressed with your performance, so you've been invited to the smithy by the bloodforge." The scripmaster hands the package to you.

Agreeeeee.... between solo and team runs, I've got about 70 perfect runs aaaand nada. Much sadness. Someone got it into my head that the weighting/padding changes means you'll be able to pad armor with TD, which I'm super excited about!

lulz... so since people haven't gotten a single invite after 100's of perfects...wow. Like $5,000 worth of simucoins to get like 10 pts of weighting tacked onto your weapon.

If its less than one point equivalent per invite and those dont get bumped to 1/5 odds or better, then it might as well not exist at all. Lets hope its better designed than that.

Right because like 80 runs in and no invite reaaaaaaaaaaaaally makes me want to go again. LOL Maybe I'll just wait and use my PP for padding. =p

Question: For the people who got invites, how many BS did you get on the specific run where you got the invite?

I'm just curious because I'm hearing of people who did hundreds of perfect runs without getting any, while all four people I have data from right now got their invite on a not-quite perfect run.

I spoke with someone on lnet who confirmed he received an invite on a less-than-perfect run. Second hand account, but I think it was a legit source.

I have nothing in my logs about getting the invitation, but Duskruin Data says I have it. Maybe I got it the first night and the messaging wasn't in place yet.

I got mine apparently the first 20 times going in. Think it's easier then people think, which would make sense since you can only do 1 service per invite. Which means to get 10 pts (heavy) weighting you need to go in there 25 times.

Sounds like you were just lucky. That's how probability works.

I received one on a less-than-perfect run, though it was still fairly good (I think 240ish bs?). First run of this DR in fact. Go figure.

Not sure what happened but shouldn't they have dealt with this before Dusk opened? Not blaming too badly, just at this point they've shown us the cake and it's behind a bulletproof plexi-glass window.

Well I used the script duskruin_watch that someone mentioned for my last match and got a perfect 250, lesson learned if you want to win at GS script lol..... :S

I got my invite around my 65-70th perfect run. I presume it's just a fairly low probability random chance. A perfect run greatly increases your chances, (10x Wyrom said), but I think it's still pretty low probability.

No scripting by the way.

98 perfect runs this time around. =( I'm beginning to wonder if you can't get them doing group runs. We've done about 57 perfect 2v2 and 3v3 runs. I'm assuming you can because the code should be pretty much the same, but it's disheartening.

Does anyone else find it somewhat funny that now Wyrom is incentivicing more runs to get "envelopes" (which he put in after the fact) that may contain an extra invite to something that doesnt exist because of their lack of oversight?

Anybody found anything in the envelops beyond the 2 or 10 BS? Iv opened a few hundred and it's all the same always.
