Silvers have never been lower in value. I wouldn't sell them for less than 10m per.

To each his or her own. I'd sooner invest my real money than spend that.

Silvers were this low the last few days of duskruin and they were still selling for 6.5. Nice try sashalegios. Oh sorry different people.
And you always sell above value so if you are selling for 10 then 6.5 is about right. Just saying.
Least 7.5 isn't terrible compared to 10. Okay I will leave you thread to your selling. <Runs off>

When silvers drop to $5 per, selling at 6-6.5 means losing money. There would be no profit, therefore no purpose to sell them.

Easy enough dont let silvers drop that low :) I mean it makes sense. Of course getting people on board that need to sell in a hurry is the issue. Guess we will wait and see

How many simucoins does a 50ct booklet usually cost?

Agree. The value of any currency in a game is tied to this question: what does it enable me to do in the game that I otherwise wouldn't be able to?
Bloodscrip = Direct access to the highest-end gear distributed in game
Silver = nothing, beyond a few mil for regular access to basic shop items. Otherwise it gets you nothing in game as there are no real drains/systems that require it. Access to a once a decade auction unfortunately is not a viable drive of value.
Silver is now 100% completely fiat currency, and IMO on the brink of a death spiral, as fewer and fewer folks are accepting it for high end transactions. Add to this the fact that there are now enough blood scrip floating around for it to be used regularly as currency outside the event. Frankly I'm surprised silver still sells at 6 per.

Merchants at events still charge rediculous amounts of silver for their services even if you've won the service in a raffle, last ebons gate gate I had to pay through the nose just add basic vacuum flares to a runestaff and to get and to get an enhancive permafied. Also gearing up and finding a suitable cosmetic theme for a new character isn't cheap. These things might seem trivial to the really old players that sit on massive silver hoards but for the those that are new or that are returning to the game silvers is an issue.

Is c difficult hello? Had to do it. He/she always wants lower silvers.
Yes merchants for decent things like enchants and such still cost lots of silvers.
They need to do a simucoin sale soon

Each run is 100 simucoins. 50 count books are 5000 simucoins. $1000 of simucoins with a premium account is 140,000 simucoins which breaks down to 28 - 50 count books. $1000/28 = $35.71 a book.
At 7.5m a book - $35.71/7.5 = $4.76 per milllion silvers.
At 6.5m a book - 35.71/6.5 = $5.49 per million silvers.
So it's really going to come down to how low silvers drop and how much of a profit margin those selling books are willing to work with. At $6 per million selling books at 6.5m would only get you $1092 dollars for your $1000 investment. Too much work for the return imo, but then I don't sell books.
I wouldn't be surprised to see silvers dropping to $5 per this run. It has nothing to do with how desperate people are. It's all about supply and demand. You will have people who are selling books for silvers and to get their money back they will need to sell those silvers for cash. That way they can buy more books to sell. Then you have the people who are grinding scrip, selling for silvers and then selling those silvers for cash. You are going to have a huge shift of silvers from those who horde them normally to the people who normally sell them for cash.
Personally I am expecting to buy books for at least 7m per this run.

This is exactly why it would take 10m per book for me to sell them. Selling books means you're going to have to be available to exchange those books with people. It also means you're going to have to be available to exchange the silvers after attempting to sell them. It's going to be a significant time investment.

I'll also point out that each set of 29 books is going to increase the amount of silvers being sold to recoup the cost by about 250m.
So 1 person selling $1000 worth of duskruin entries is going to add 250m to the market. If 4 people attempt this, who is going to be buying a billion silvers?

Silvers would have to drop to 3.50 per before buying at 10 per book would make sense. Also at that price there is very little profit for someone who is farming scrip. As someone who bought hundreds of books last time and will this time I would expect 7m to maybe 8m to be the norm. 10 seems absurd at the moment and it will require a slow descent into hell before that happens.

Silvers are dropping to $4.60 per million by buying books and selling them for silvers.
Spend $1000, get 29 books.
Sell 29 books (@ 7.5m), get 217.5 million.
Why would anyone buy silvers from the PC at $6-6.5 per million when they can buy books, sell them for silvers and receive an extra 60 million.
1000/6.5 = 153m
1000 = 29 books
29 books = 217.5m

Because people who buy silvers rarely buy 1000 bucks at a time? If I am selling 50m I would normally get a guy who wants 10m, another that wants 15m and a third who wants 30m. So I end up selling 55m to 3 people. Hell, I had a guy buy 6m from me yesterday and wants another 7m today. They add up but few buyers want a 1000 bucks of silvers.

You're right, not everyone buys in so big. So I ran some smaller numbers.
At $85 you can get 15m, which is $5.66 per million.
49.99 = 6500
34.99 = 4375
Total: $84.98 for 10875sc = 2 books * 7.5m for 15m
At $110 you can get 22.5m, which is $4.88 per million.
99.99 = 13500
9.9 = 1150
Total: $109.98 for 14650sc = 3 books * 7.5m for 22.5m
If people want books to remain at 6m per, silver prices would have to stop falling. But silver prices aren't going to retain their value when Simu is basically selling silvers for $5 per million.

Silver prices have only dropped a little since last DR when books were 5.5-6.5. I expect books to be in the 6.5-7.5 range and people will be crying all over lnet that they aren't paying more than 7. Hopefully it will help BS hold more value.

Demand warrents a large coin purchase, pricing these back at 7.5M for now.
