Java

Ok, have this problem with Java (I think). I'm an avid Spades player on Yahoo and every single time I play, I go into a room, play a game, jump out of the room, then try and go into another and it won't let me!! I have to bring up the control panel, exit out of explorer (it acts like it's locking up/not responding), then go back in again. It happens to me on my computer and my fiances... not sure if it's Java, or something else..
Anyone have any suggestions??
