I am new back to GS.. and I know at lower levels of weighting crit is better...how about at higher levels.. say a
Crit weighted clad vs a THW with the same level of damage weighting
Thx

Depends on what you're hunting. Noncorp undead yeah possibly damage weighting is better. But, remember crit weighting stil adds it's phantom crit extra damage onto all your strikes which is basically like having damage wwighting as well. Crit weighting is vastly overpowered as it's basically crit + damage weighting combined.

Crit is better. You can always find a situation where this is not the case as hello pointed out with critters immune to the additional crit effects.
If you can have both and switch situationally, do that. If you can have one, go crit.

Since it's not all that likely that you're going to find a claid-level damage weighted weapon that can hit undead, I suggest you not use this scenario as an example, unless of course you're playing a paladin.
There are a lot of factors that figure into success, many of which are ignored by lots of people. Speed of weapon/attack style makes a huge and often underappreciated difference in your success. Appropriateness to armor of your foe, damage factor, (puncture v slash v crush), and the ability to aim all come into play in determining if you're going to be successful or not. Generally I would say that if you can aim, that has a much higher impact on your success. Likewise, with larger weapons with high DF's, unless you're facing heavy armor, weighting is less important than speed and ability to aim. Since you're often going to reach the threshold for a crit kill without any weighting if you hit a vital spot and it's hard to aim the weapon anyway, you might as well swing something that will get you that crit kill faster if it's possible.

I actually do have claid damage weighted level two handed sword.. but needs enchant work...my question was to see if it was worth the money to start enchanting since it's easier then enchanting a claid ... I am not a paladin and it is not sanctified... It would be used as a ranger thw ambusher with 608... Sounds like it's not worth it.. appreciate all the help

Claidhmores can't be player enchanted at all.

I was referring to the higher amount of PPs for a claid vs non claid to enchant... Or a regular merchant like DR low end enchant vouchers might apply to this weapon vs a claid
