Maybe a newb question, but are these 'legal'? I realize there are all the notes to make things larger now, but I want to be sure that footwear is still an okay item to have such deep pockets.

The only thing I know that Simu is forced to change is ICE age stuff because it's copyrighted. These boots will never be made again, but my understanding of the system is they won't fix or change the mechanics of them if you hand them to a merchant.

They won't "fix" them unless you hand them over is my understanding. Just don't :) I haven't tried to lighten them with a note, it might work if they can get lighter.

Lightening notes only work on something that's not already max light. Deepening notes however still work on items that analyze as max deep, as long as you're not going over the deepening rules outlined on the note itself.
