Hi!

I think I made a mistake. I started with a haversack that still weighs 9 pounds and held 100 pounds. I had it deepened twice for 200 PP (100 ==> 120 ==> 140), and now it is max deepened.

I think I could have gone deeper than 140 with DM notes. Is this true?

Thanks!

Yes, and you still can. The notes don't expire and you should be able to find some.

You can go to 200 w/ the right notes.

Now that you have it at 140 you can get it lightened to 6 lbs.

You can still deepen it via DM notes, no matter what analyze says.

Okay, now I deepened a cloak twice with PP.

First deepen went from 90 to 108, or +20%.

Second deepen only went +10% from 108 to 119.

I have an assist in on this, because it doesn't seem right.

Thoughts?

It was my understanding, (and I may be wrong), but I thought that your item had to be at standard max deep BEFORE you could apply the notes to them (with the notes moving the deepen range to "epic")

Nope, the notes can be used at any point, assuming the container is not maxed and the note of the appropriate "epic" limit. In fact, several of the notes go to 140 lb capacity (for back/cloak slots), so are not considered epic services.

To the OP, you may have gotten a GM mistake or double deepening session? It should be 10% a service.

In my opinion, using premium points for L/D (really all GALD) is a poor use meaning you're premium and have access to the frequent additional FWI merchants, unless you have very limited time. In which case, it's probably best (and quicker) to hire someone or buy notes and save up for more rare services (padding, enchant, enhancives).

If the container or storage space is worth it to you, use notes once you've reached the normal capacity limit.

Yes, I collected half pound shoulderworn purses that held only five pounds over the years, and with the deepening notes I was able to take some of them up to 100 pounds using deepening notes.

Of note, deepening can be applied to a nonfunctional container and they will become functional. I did this to my joola tunic and then I couldn't wear it anymore. Gm fixed the tunic but I am out the note. Also, deepening does not affect item capacity, and as such I hope they approve warrior containers for the notes.
