Selling a gnomish mechanical sephwir light crossbow with a tiny red crystal eyesight for 85mil should a collector be interested. This 8lb mechanical light crossbow of speed is 6x, nicely zested with permanent heavy sighting on it. No ammunition management required if you cast elemental blade on a stack of bolts before a hunt for 10x with flares.

The crossbow has a mechanical crank. The cock time is three seconds no matter what - race, strength, encumbrance, etc. This item will not force stance when cocking or pull the user from hiding. It allows the user to stay hidden while cocking and loading. Additionally - cocking can be done onehanded while the other hand is occupied.

You glance at a gnomish mechanical sephwir light crossbow with a tiny red crystal eyesight. The sephwir light crossbow has a small windlass attached to it. It seems to be in fine working order, the cording recently replaced and the crank and winch well oiled.

Turn crossbow (allows the user to cock in 3 seconds)
Your grab the windlass attached to the crossbow and turn it, smoothly cocking it.
Roundtime: 3 sec.

Example of zesting:

Rub crossbow:
You polish your sephwir light crossbow with your hand, trying to remove all the imperfections.

Tap crossbow:
You scrutinize the tiller of your crossbow, occasionally running your thumb along the crossbow's surface, looking for flaws.

Push crossbow:
Carefully planting your foot firmly on the ground, you brace the prod of your crossbow against it securely. With the ease of long practice you slip the bowstring from one nock, twist it several times to tighten, and slide the knot's loop back into position.

Pluck crossbow:
You give your crossbow string a good pluck, testing it for proper tension.
The string makes a high pitched *twang* as you release it. (This feature also works while hiding in the shadows without pulling you out. I'd wager it would work with invisibility as well)

You hear a high pitched *twang* coming from somewhere nearby.

Toss crossbow:
You toss your crossbow a few inches in the air, catching it adroitly as you swing it around and sight down its length.

Point crossbow(at person):
You carefully sight down your sephwir light crossbow and along the shaft at Fuzznut.

As you sing, you feel a faint resonating vibration from the sephwir light crossbow in your hand...

The harmonics generated tell you that the crossbow assists its bearer with aiming attacks at range.

Huh, the Duskruin light crossbows cock in only one second. I guess this one pre-dates those?

All other crossbows, including the duskruin ones, force you to offensive stance during the hard RT for cocking. According to the OP, this does not change your stance, which would be significantly beneficial for someone hunting in the open. It's a shame that it's a light and not heavy crossbow.

This item is from the Droughtman Challenge of 2011. Initially with a 5x enchant, then upgraded with premium points to 6x. Duskruin introduced a different kind of crossbow called Repeating Crossbows. They are two seperate crossbows with similar properties.

While I don't own a Duskruin version I was able to find some information about them and the distinction on the wiki. https://gswiki.play.net/Mechanical_crossbow

Repeating Crossbows: As long as there is at least one bolt loaded, COCK has reduced roundtime: 1 second for light crossbows, 2 seconds for heavy crossbows. (If there are no bolts in the chamber I assume normal times apply). This action forces offensive stance.

Mechanical Crossbows: Mechanical crank crossbows can be cocked using the TURN verb, which always cocks in 3 seconds of roundtime and DOES NOT force a stance change and will not reveal the wielder from hiding.

Mechanical crossbows are still superior in my books, and I enjoyed having one of the first heavy ones on the gnome.

Super nice in the hands of a sniping rogue, with mobility
