Okay, my LM-focused rogue needs more rep-worthy boxes. This is the baseline skills I'm working with:

With a shit ton of tps left over, around 870ptp/800mtp. Belongs to CoL. Mastered in sweep, subdue, and cheapshots.

I would guess the actual best way to get lots of boxes is to be able to get capped boxes. If I triple picking, I could get -1060 locks. 2x disarm looks like a -345 trap, 3x disarm gets -425 traps. Dunno if that's enough for most capped stuff or not. If it isn't, I'm guessing it's best to just stick with 2x pick/disarm plus lore? 3x pick/disarm leaves enough tps for the equivalent of 32 ranks of CM.

Or I could 3x hide/2x CM. Or 2x CM/2.6x dodge. Or 3x dodge/1.7x CM. Or get into plate with 1.5x CM. Or 2x CM/and 50-ish ranks in AS and hunt "self-spelled". Going to 2x PF looks like it gives me ~2% additional redux. Meh. But would it be worth it for maneuvers/stamina?

In other words, I don't have a clue. Halp plz.

Some of your options depend on whether you want to be better at hunting or picking. You could go full 3x/3x and be able to open most stuff, although there would be some Nelemar/Rift/etc type boxes that would still be beyond you. I think you can get by on 1x CM but 2x is obviously nicer for hunting. To me, the rest of your skills look pretty okay except the 50 ranks of picking (bleaourgh). LM and its difficulty is based on the idea of the locksmith having 2x picking ranks. Having 50 ranks at level 70 is just stupendous.

One other thing, I would personally recommend more AU but I prefer to try for heavier armors myself. If you're happy in brig then disregard. Also 2x PF is pretty rad.

other edit: If you really want to be able to open all the boxes/traps, you should start putting together an enhancive set with disarm and picking bonuses. Getting a max set of both can really improve your range, and also look for a super disarm lore vial when you come up against a really nasty scale trap or something to that effect. Very useful.

edit: My 88 locksmith rogue for comparison:

I went down to the stronghold in the landing to work off some rust. Left training as is. It wasn't awe inspiring, I'll tell you that. In case anyone was wondering, 5 ranks of AS isn't enough to guarantee *scritch, scritch* on lvl 60-ish scarabs.

I'm leaning towards going all in on picking skills and making do with so-so hunting so if you've got lvl 70+ boxes you want picked for free, let me know.

Btw, I'm surprised by the amount of RNG a GS4 rogue has to deal with. RNG to see if you're blocked/evaded/parried, RNG to see if you hit what you aim at, RNG on the d100 roll, RNG on the weighting added by ambush from hiding, RNG on the crit rank. The first three, fine. The last two, given just how much variance there is, to quote Velfi: bleaourgh. I miss the old ambush.
