I have always enjoyed Boom alot IG I first saw the character Boom on Teras years ago and he never came out of character. Sad the player behind him is so sick :(

My take on this:

Spir seems to be just a huge troublemaker and is not worth the effort to get upset over.

Boom may be a nice guy, a great deal of fun to play with and therefore get an amount of more leeway, but he also was partly to blame for that flare up.

My knowledge of Tsin's player is nonexistant, but I certainly know of the char and his less than sparkling reputation.

The one thing that I wish Boom had not said was the following.

The real deal here is that Spir could have EASILY made it a point that he doesn't like Tsin nor the way he handles himself with respect to Gemstone. That he's sorry that Boom might be placing his goods with a person who could tarnish the memory of the player by whoring out the stuff and putting a dark cloud over the years of fun folks have had with Boom as the character.

We should I guess not be upset that ooc Boom's player deecided to give his items to someone that as far as I know is a waste of space. In the real world Tsin's player could be Jimmy Carter for all I know.

Along that same line of thought however, Boom should not be threatening to kill another player in game over an ooc disagreement and then tell them if they report of it they are a crybaby.

The error in thinking by some here has been that anyone thinking Boom is making an error is somehow "siding" with Spir and that is not the case.

How funny I was just rereading the OOC post on this because I had not read the entire thing. Boom saying he was going to kill him IG etc is not the Boom I remember, period.

Either the med's are doing something screwy or Tsin already has Boom/acess to him. Spir is still an asshole regardless though.

Also, Boom was on OOC chat a few days to announcing he was giving his stuff to Tsin saying that he would NEVER give Boomsplat away. He stated Boomsplat was going to the grave with him. I told him he could at least leave the money with his kids or other family and he stated he didn't have anyone to leave it to.

So is it the real Boomsplat? I don't know, but he and I have come to the conclusion that neither of us care about that conversation. Take the stick out of your ass and get over it already.

I'm gonna apologise in advance for the fact my post may not make as much sense as some of my other posts. This is something I feel very strongly about....

Why did he say this? simply because I had a different Armenian Accent and English Accent from him, because I was different from him and all his friends, I had been having a hard time with school in the USA because I had to deal with my mom and dad growing apart, my brother growing more and more ill, and being pushed from one relative's house to another, seeing very little of my immediate family and seeing my brother dying and my mom becoming more and more delusional with time, convincing herself that he really was getting better, that the bible studies were helping, she prayed to everyone and anyone she could to get help for her son. If anyone had shown an ounce of compassion to my brother during this time I would have loved them forever.

Now back to the initial post... as Boomsplat said Tsin has been his friend during all of this and stuck by him, so if he wants to give all that he owns to him then that is his wish..... for people to say that is wrong etc.... wtf do you want? would you feel better to have the stuff yourself? Were you there for Boomsplat? were you his friend both in game and OOG? No..... Some of you people make me sick to my stomach. I haven't known Boomsplat long... When I first heard he was ill I was really upset, it brought up a lot of sad memories for myself when Vahe was ill. When he first returned to the game I actually sat here and cried and wept because I just felt so glad that he felt well enough to play a game he enjoys playing, the fact it was also the anniversary of Vahe's death also made me more emotional and I snuck away into the bathroom so my fiance wouldn't feel awkward. Thank god I have a fiance who understands how emotional I get and how much compassion I can show towards others.

I met boomsplat on the ferry from Illistim a few years back and he was so nice to my lil 3 train elf I highlighted his name and remembered to give him a cookie or a treat or a kiss on the cheek whenever I see him. He most likely never remembered who I was, but I never forgot his kindness....


At the recent premium fair I saw him and Tsin together... they were so close and such good friends, helping each other and hanging together ( you couldn't get them apart) I know he knows what he is doing and agree with him...

I tend to think that from God's point of view (however you like to imagine that). Death isnt negative - its just part of the process.

We're very hung up on this life because we have doubts about what comes after and because centuries of good evolution have taught us to avoid death as well as we can and be upset when other members of our species die.

I think God on the other hand moves us from life to life to afterlife like a principal graduating batches of students. When youve learned what you came here for in this life, time to move on. We may think of it as prickish in our limited perspective but it's just how things work.

My comment is based on the fact that you tend to mislead people...just as you did with the Celtar issue. You said "I kill people for a living" or something to that effect. After having seen you in action in the past, most of what you say is therefore questionable in my eyes as to the veracity of the statement.

I have shot in the direction of tracers 2 times and shot in a vehicle where one person died. I have no clue whether I killed him or not as the gunner and I were both shooting.

I am sure enlisted such as Ranger or any others here in combat arms will say that is almost a normal nights patrol and only a Fobbit would consider what I did anything but below normal

1) I sympathize with Boomsplat and his family. It must be a very difficult time for them and hope they will get through it alright, no matter what the outcome.

2) I don't understand why a man who is given an official death sentence by his physician would bother thinking about who he's giving his character's stuff to. But then, people who know they only have "x months" to live probably think about a lot of weird shit. Goes with the territory I guess. I hope I never have to find out first-hand.

3) Telling a dying man to die is redundant. So is someone who proclaims that everyone is dying, and then tells someone to die. Boomsplat should have said "I think we've already established that I'm doing exactly that. Thanks for your input." Spir's comment was unneccessary, but hardly insulting, if you look at it from that perspective.

Kill people for a living is prolly what they sell them in bootcamp to glorify the lousy occupation.

What you do in reality is clean shitters and pack and carry equipment around for a living, oh and train. Lets be realistic, short of the last few years, the last 20 have had very little killing most of which by special ops teams, not run of the mill infantrymen. And even the last few years have little in the way of real combat.

After you listen to Spir on OOC often enough you see a pattern. I saw it last night with Eiderfleur. Spir throws out some generic insult and demand and someone tells him to STFU and then he starts on his little games.

Last night he repeatedly antagonized, attempted to make the other look bad then rinse and repeat.

I would bet money that anger had zero to do with his lame comments to Boom.

I just believe that servicemen should be held to a certain level of decency. We are here to serve the public and acting in such a matter is below them. This is not something that I'd like the soldiers around me learning.

I just checked and all TOJ said is that he agreed with Spir and didn't like what boomsplat was doing with his shit.

There's alot to be said about being decent, but I'm not about to say I like something just so some people with no grip on reality can feel a little better.

Heh, yeah I have an issue with Spir when he told him to die for his ideas. Before that, I really didn't mind him sparring with Boom over Tsin. Differences in opinion of who Tsin is and that's up for them to debate. What I found low was telling Boom to die over it all.

I have no problem with TOJ agreeing with Spir for disagreeing with Boom. I have a problem with him saying it was okay for him to tell Boom to die. If that was not his intention and it was JUST to agree with Spir in general, then he needs to clarify. As far as I read, it looked like he was saying that it was okay to tell someone to die, and I'm sorry if I just don't agree with that mentality.

People in the service are (in what I believed) to be the people the represent the rest of us. When I see a soldier that we're sending out to another country to defend us tell one of his fellow Americans to die over a disagreement, I see a fault in that character.

If that was not his intention and it was JUST to agree with Spir in general, then he needs to clarify.

I will be the first to admit I am not doing it for America. The reason I switched over from enlisted to the officer side was to be better able to protect my soldier's and try to stop some of the stupid shit that happens to enlisted on a daily basis.

medal of honor? the bronze star I got for this tour? I dont give a shit about awards. The most important to me is my soldier's trust.

Officers do not ETS. I have to request to retire and if my request is approved I will retire.

My soldier's know I would kill for them but more importantly my soldier's know even though I have never held my son Aidan I would die for them.

I have their respect and trust. I am not the typical officer I have got in trouble many times. I made it to SSG (E6) before I switched over to the officer side. I have never forgotten where I came from. My acts and words border on dissension many times because I do everything I can to protect my soldier's.
