The lightening notes say,

"Most worn containers, armor, and weapons are eligible for this service."

Should lighten anything that isn't already max light. When I tried on my max light plate I get,

"Your armor is already as light as it can get and is therefore ineligible for use with a bright orange note."

So, wait. I take it minimum of 1 lb. unless they go into decimals for a weapon that weighs less than 10 lbs... which I think most weapons are.

Yes minimum of 1lb on merchant lightens. That would be too stupid if you got your weapon lightened say 4/10 ths of a pound and it wasn't even a detectable difference.
