Hey guys,
So I've recently begun trying to infuse scrolls for Marclar's fiancee and himself. What seems to be a pretty interesting spell is REALLY starting to piss me off. Might i get some help?
I have the correct stones and runes an what not, yet pretty much every time i try to unlock a scroll I get this...
You wave your stone at a piece of light paper.
The smooth stone is momentarily surrounded by a dim white aura.
Cast Roundtime 3 Seconds.
All except one scroll I've tried to infuse has either done this or grown cold, either way I've locked them up tight. :( Do I just suck or what? Any help is greatly needed. Feel free to IM me or message me here, or post.

I hope you find someone who can explain this process to you.. someone explained it to me.. but for some reason I could never get it to work.. so when you figure it out PLEASE let me know. The one thing I do know is that it's confusing. Maybe (haha yeah right) someday they will make it so that we can make our own scrolls.

I had a runestone with odeir'cos written on it, a runestone with ikar'fyn written on it, and a runestone with ag'loenar written on it.
I first waved the odeir'cos stone at the scroll to see what charges were in the scroll. I then waved the ikar'fyn stone to unlock the scroll but EVERYTIME but once it ended up locking the scrolls...
Now I will admit, my skills are messed up. I've been meaning to look into finding help on that too. So please, don't laugh too much..hehe. Here are the skills...

Why wouldn't you use quiss'fyn? It's the best rune by far for infusion. As far as why they're locking? I have no idea, I rarely ever lock a scroll unless it grows cold (wears out basically not your fault) and that's generally after a few recharges as well. You look like you're trained alright to use it.

Mekethros (Can't spell his name to save my life) told me once that quiss'fyn wasn't a good rune to use until you are higher up in training. Since the majority of the scrolls I've been unlocking haven't been above 15, I thought I'd use the other one. I still got the same results with quiss'fyn though...

Possible factors could be your level, your low MIU skill, and that you're only 1x in mana control.
Those all play pretty heavily into the spell.

Trying to infuse a spiritual spell or professional spell that is of the spiritual circle with no spiritual mana control is essentially garunteeing you 100% failure every time regardless.

If it's any consolation, my little sorceress has only managed to successfully infuse one scroll containing thurfel's. All of the others she's managed to lock up and on one memorable occasion, she managed to even blow herself to bits. She's level 21 now. I figured I'd try again once she reaches 25. Like you, I've been using ikar'fyn, having been told that quiss'fyn would result in more failures than ikar'fyn until she's at a higher level. My skills look fairly similar to yours, 24 ranks of MIU, but I've 1X in both spiritual and elemental mana control. Sorry I'm not more helpful.

Oh.. I didn't know about that higher fail rate at younger ages thing, I spose I kinda took that for granted, my bad.

Bleh...so Mana Control is a major factor? Bleh...ok. How does one go about finding out these lil details? The game boards just drive me insane with all the rumors and GM's that post answers that don't really answer the question..heh. Looks like I'll be needing to start a new thread to redo my sorc. Gotta love fixskills & stat reassignments! heh.

My Sorcorer never had a problem using quiss'fyn with an aweful share. Though the rules have changed recently and i havent attempted in a minute....
