Let's get the ball rolling on this season. I'll volunteer to run the league this year, but you'll have to bare with me as I haven't run a league in over 10 years. Just a few logistical issues:

$60 entry ($50+$10 league fees)
12 teams
1 QB, 2 RB, 3 WR, 1 TE, 1 Flex, 1 DST, 1 kicker, 6 subs, 1 IR
PPR
Snake Draft
Winner takes $400, second place $200
Once we figure out the league payments, invites will be sent out ONCE YOU'VE PAID


I'm all for CBS as it's been the best experience I've had over the years. Also, we won't be supporting ESPN, which is a good thing. If anyone objects to me being the commish, speak now.

Someone suggested doing leaguesafe. If you all feel like that is safer, that's fine. There is a fee for the winner to withdraw it. Since I am so likely to win, I am not opposed to this. Since Hoy and Shaft stand no chance, they should have no vote in this matter.

If we go with leaguesafe, you will each need to paypal me the extra 10 bucks for the league fees. I think they are going to be more than $10 a person, but I will just foot the rest of the bill.

I'd prefer just paying WRoss, to make it a little easier, and also to avoid the fees when I take out my winnings.

Lineup format suggested works for me. I'm against PPR for anything but tight ends, but it's not a hill I'm willing to die on. If everyone else is FOR PPR, I'll go along grudgingly.

I'm 50/50 on Auction vs. Snake. Auction is harder to coordinate because you almost HAVE to have everyone online at the same time to make it work right. If we can guarantee getting everyone together (especially with voice support somehow), then I'd vote Auction.

Also, two things:



I added two point brackets for kicking. Over 60 and over 70. If you kick a FG over 60, it's an extra 4 points. Over 70, it's an extra 10 points. I figure, if you crush the record, you might as well get the total 19 points for the kick to hopefully win the game.
The most offensive name gets extra points this year. They might be imaginary points, but you get them.

That's why you do multiple teams. Do 4-5 teams and you can battle the injury thing, and if all of your teams avoid injuries and you hit on some sleepers, profit!

This year, I'd like to start the JaMarcus Russell Award, a weekly award to the team owner who does their best, but it just isn't good enough. Maybe it was their mass consumption of cocaine, alcohol, and lack of discipline, or maybe it was trusting a dumpster fire of a team, but for whatever reason, they were just so bad that people forgot how much of a bust Ryan Leaf was.

This week, I am going to give the award preemptively, just like the Oakland Raiders decided to give a drug addicted 22 year old $31.5 million dollars before he had even stepped foot on the field in a game. The award this week goes to the team whose team name is just as confusing as their line-up. His players have enough injuries among them to be considered for a case study in Orthopedic Sports Medicine. Coming in with just a single player in double digits points and relying on Adrian Petersen or Jamal Charles to beat that, I feel confident that this team will not make enough of a comeback to save their game, much like JaMarcus Russell wasn't able to save Johnny Manziel from the flames of drug fueled bad decisions.

This week was a tough choice for the JaMarcus Russell Award this week. Quite a few teams left double digits on the bench: Sentral, Me, Shaft, and even the Triple-Named defending champion of the Award, George Zarlino. But no one was as deserving as deserving of this award as Yak. Much like his Gemstone life, he could not have bought a victory, even if he was Al Davis. Much like his real life, his team failed to launch into success at any moment and just sucked at all the way to the end. The performance was so bad, that I almost feel bad to continue to rub in the fact that not even a Pee-Wee flag football team would trust him with their coaching decisions. I will finish with this final statement to honor the great JaMarcus Rusell Award:

"Three Wide Receivers and PPR. 88 points"
