Would love to get feedback on anything I might need to fix. I know I'm not way off on anything because I've more or less used Whirlin's guide since day one. It's been about a year though since I actively hunted with this character, and since I just hit level 39 and have a fixskill, thought I'd see if anything needed to be tweaked.

On Harness Power, I am already stopping that to let it drop to 1x. The level it's at now though actually works pretty well, so probably good that I overtrained a bit, but definitely letting it drop back down now.

My only real question is how to train in spells going forward. I'm not even really sure how I got to where I am currently. Looks like I'm a bit over 2x. Should i consider bringing that down to 2x? Maybe stop MjE at 20 ranks and use those 3 other ranks to bring my Wizard spells up to level? Was also thinking of upping air lore to 33 ranks to unlock enhancive detection with 405 at 30 ranks and adding a couple more slots to my disk space. Maybe I could also start to leave Arcane Symbols where it's at and start to bring MIU up so that I'll be able to enchant fusion sooner?

Here is where I stand...

Looks pretty good. I would definitely stop in harness power until you are 1x and train in spells a LOT. Every spell in major elemental is an extra AS point on your bolts and a CS boost on tonis and mana leech, and every minor elemental spell is 0.5 AS on your bolts and on your DS. Also, 950 is a blast, so there is your incentive to keep up the wizard spell training.

Your training plan looks good as Tenser said.

I am a huge fan of steam bolt which requires 20 ranks in fire lore (would drop air lore for it).

Unless you really want 950 at 50 I would start bringing your major and minor elemental lists to level. You will gain bolt AS, CS, and DS while the wizard list is just offering you a DS increase and a very minor CS increase on your 500 list (leech rocks).

I primarily still use 903 minor water. Does the steam version do much differently? I use Tonis bolt a lot though, so not sure I'd want to give up my air lore and lose that in favor of gaining steam bolt.

Also, I doubt I'll use 950 much at 50 because of the mana cost, so doubtful that'll be a goal.

Check out the chart at the bottom of minor water to compare the two.

I love steam. I love it a lot. The only reason I use 505 is on things that need to be knocked down so they don't fall on me (i.e. Huge Earth Elemental). I used to use 505 all the time before steam was a thing in my 40s.

If you like tonis bolt keep it. A lot of it is personal choices and how you like to hunt.

Steam is a very high damage, low mana, bolt that I use a lot, which is why I recommend it.

Steam bolt does raw HP damage more comparable to 910 or 510, at half the mana cost. However it's the steam crit table, which is terrible for actually crit killing.

steam bolt is basically always a great option against non-corp undead, or other creatures that can't be crit killed. Even things that are just squishy without much HP. You won't get the great death crits as much, but if you routinely just bleed the thing out in 2 casts it generally doesn't matter.

Have to echo this it's so bloody strong, high DF/AvD and it only fails against plate and some fire immune monsters. I'm surprised it only costs 4 mana, God send to wizards especially Volners and definately one of the better changes of the lore review.

sorc had 709 cast in the room on this bandit lol

hurls a seething blast of steam at a half-krolvin thief!
AS: +194 vs DS: +45 with AvD: +59 + d100 roll: +90 = +298
... and hits for 156 points of damage!
Boiling strike to back leaves nerves raw and everything else steamed.
