Hi guys...

Trying to get an idea of what these old fluff items might be worth...whether it would be better for a flat amount or bidding?

Couple items are small containers... other than that, it's all fluff. With the exception of the recipe book...(see notes below for scripts):

In the baker's satchel you see a wine-stained cotton blouse, a tall pair of jam-stained boots, a jam-stained cotton skirt, a cast iron baking pan, an oiled pine cutting board, a wrinkled white cook's hat, a stained white apron, a jam-stained recipe book and a heavy wooden rolling pin.

You carefully inspect your baker's satchel.
You estimate that a stained baker's satchel can store a fairly large amount with enough space for any number of items.
You determine that you could wear the satchel, slinging it across your shoulders and back. The satchel appears to serve some purpose. (can be worn WITH a backpack).
You carefully examine the baker's satchel and determine that the weight is about 5 pounds.

Where did this come from?

You should be able to get at least 1m for it

The collection started with the satchel.
Over the course of a few months, I added the other items.
They were purchased about 5 - 6 years ago.

As for WHERE they came from? Not sure... if you do a quick search on "jam-stained" items... several items pop up, but they are older posts.
jam-stained gingham dress
some patchwork jam-stained trousers
even a hand-puppet... a tart-wielding halfling hand-puppet wearing jam-stained clothes.

The theme isn't unique... but there aren't too many of the same items I would bet. Especially after all this time. And the collection all-together such as they are.

This is robe class armor. should be enchantable and functional for protection as a pure/monk. Does it have an enchanter's mark on it when you LOOK at it?

Based on what you told me and what is posted, most if not all of these are probably alters that people had done. I don't think Vishra's number is off to start an auction with. If you want, and have not done so yet, track me down and we can thoroughly test everything for zests (I use ;testme).

This is a really nice "Baker in a box" set of items. I'd personally enchant up those robes and add a little mechanical value if you have a wizard, if not it still gives a bit of project potential to someone who wants a baker, but still wants to do something themselves to it.

Thank you very much for the information. I had a fleeting thought about the apron being "armor" and it being able to be enchanted. I wasn't even thinking of the "robe class armor". The 8 lbs really surprised me. Is that how much robes typically weigh? (I've never had a cloth wearer).

There is no enchantment mark on the apron:

Yeah, that doesn't appear to be anything special. Not sure if it was altered or offered off the shelf as an apron = robe armor.

I personally like ;testme because it puts a little summary at the end of what it thinks is zests, pretty helpful and written by Dreaven if I remember correctly.

Well... I think if you wanted to dress up like a baker... it's pretty darn special. :)

Seriously... with all of the various "jam-stained" items... I don't think they were altered prior to my getting them, and I certainly have not had them altered. I would think that there was a holiday or some festival that these items came from... or even one of those roaming merchants at the time. I just can't remember that far back.

Thanks again for the input!

Yeah that doesn't read how I meant it. It's not scripted. Thats the more accurate way of putting it! lol. Still a fantastic collection and really would be a lynchpin on a character.
