Are you? Now? Will go back? Left because?
Forever? Temporary?
I hate you, I hate you, I hate you, I hate you, I hate you, I hate you, I hate you, I hate you, I hate you, I hate you, I hate you, I hate you, I hate you, I hate you, I hate you, I hate you, I hate you, I hate you, I hate you, I hate you, I hate you, I hate you, I hate you, I hate you, I hate you, I hate you, I hate you.
I'm temporarily not playing, but as AHNOLD says, "I'll be bahck."
Playing for one more month then letting it go.
Dip your hand in the lucky 'gemstone's shit changes' bag and any reason you pull out will do.

Its really lost its appeal lately, especially for a game which I've devoted so much time in advancing in.
Oh well, it was cheap entertainment while it lasted.

There's no option for "totally bored with it but reluctant to cancel the account"
Thats the one I would pick.

I haven't played for the longest time. I do plan on coming back when I have the time for it. Just haven't found any time. I'm never home and when I'm home it's just to kick back or sleep.

Cancelled account. Odds are I will only come back to give away items to friends. Then sell the account. Who knows. Right now I'm much more entertained by WoW and the way things are run there vs. GS makes me never want to go back to it again.

I go through phases of not playing for weeks on end, to taking a saturday and playing one of my characters on and off. I do not play the way I used too, I much prefer the old GS to this new one. That and the fact the people I loved playing with no longer play. :(

I havent played since February and I dont plan on going back. I dont have the time, the money, or even the urge. I just found myself going back and not enjoying each and every time. Hunting sucks and there's not much else to do most of the time. People hardly roleplay in Gemstone, so sad. :P
I can't even remember the last time I logged in. I'm currently too in love with WoW to even think about playing GS anymore, though my account is still open.

I'm playing, so is my husband. It's our entertainment after our daughter goes to bed. We take it lightly, hang with friends, and work on our characters together. If thet's nerdy, I'm fine with that.
Some times I play more than others, and we did take a break of about 2 months during wedding/vacation time.

I still play and enjoy the game. I'll continue to play and chances are I'll continue to enjoy the game. I'd love to be able to play more and advance Anticor faster but I'm ok with the pace I've set.

I quit for 6 months once...maybe longer. I got banned for cursing in game for 2 months or some bullshit...er, I mean stuff.
I prefer gs4 over gs3...my ranger can do much more now in gs4. It probably helps that I can't play WoW on my current machine too. But even if I could, I have a tendency to stay away from places everyone else goes, or not do things everyone else flocks to do. I still haven't seen the movie Titanic...I made my final decision on that when I saw titanic cereal.

I play but I can honestly say I don't enjoy the game the way I used to. My own fault because all I do is power hunt when I am in game. I'd like to advance Voldermort a little more before I slow it down completely though. It still has its fun moments.
You're ability to make Polls sucks. You need more categories if you're really intersted in what people feel about the game rather than one extreme or the other.
Take me for instance, I'm not addicted to Gemstone, I havnt left for some moments (whatever the hell that means), and I've not left good. I'm mostly apathetic but like to play to continue adding value to my investment and visiting with the few good friends I have there.
So put that in your poll and smoke it.

I havn't played in a month cause of the eye problems. Can't keep up with the scroll. Though I have discovered I honestly don't miss it as much as I thought I would. So who knows if I will keep playing or not..

Still playing, I've been into GS for 8 or 9 years, probably only playing for 5 of that, though. I've taken 2 or 3 loooong breaks.
I'm having a ton of fun with it now. I reactivated my old boring picking rogue and made him a brawler, and started a new archer. There are so many more options now.
I can't stand other MMORPGs, but that's just me. I can see the appeal, but I don't dig 'em. I also play GS only at work, so graphical MMORPGs are out. :)

My fiance and I closed our accounts.. who knows if we'll be back or not... We're having way too much fun with WoW right now.. it might hard to go from that back to blah GS :)

I recently put my account on hold (like, a few hours ago). Sometime within the next two weeks I'm heading back to my favorite little island in South Carolina.
I really don't think I'll pick it back up when I finish. Gemstone has been increasingly getting boring for me, and it's almost chore-like for me to log in. I've also been in a rather bad mood for the past year, and I don't feel like doing anything, except stab random people.
I voted for the second option because I'm not sure whether or not I'll return. I didn't miss it the first time I left.

I like to mentor.
I love running events and such for my pro and house.
I love creating items.
I love the close friends I have made.

Been working ALOT. And I just got that game WoW so I'm still in my honeymooning phase with it. Gemstone has taken a backseat but I cant see myself canceling my accounts now or ever for all the time I put into developing those characters. We'll see.

I really still enjoy GS to be honest. I like GSIV over GSIII though, for many reasons. There are appeals to GSIII that I miss but overall I find GSIV to be much better with a lot more options.
I have um..3 main characters that I play most of the time. Jolena is my longest running one however and I don't know that I'll ever grow 'bored' of her. Course..I also don't see myself capping her. I think if I capped her I'd grow bored very quickly with her and that would make me sad :(
Soooo many people I know play WoW now and they are trying to convince myself and James (stun) to play it but I'm not too much into graphic games. If I wanted to do that, I'd play my son's PS2
Anywho..a lot of my appeal for GS is all the friends I've made, the items I love to create and the RP I get involved in. I think if I had no friends who RP'd I'd probably grow bored as well.

Its ok....for a graphics game. *obvious reluctant compliment*
It has its ups and downs like any game. A definate surplus of young players. But you see roleplaying communities as well if you can find the right guild or group to hook up with.
One thing. I do feel restricted in roleplay with the storyline already written, but thats just me. I was never a fan of games such as Final Fantasy that are based on predetermined choices and quests.
Try it. And come to the Feathermoon server.

Ok, so we have the group that demand and scream for a more detailed outline to GS, the majority seem to agree, then we have a small group demanding no history at all so they can write there own.....
So Simu does what it does best, makes a very vague and inaccurate history so it can be developed as much by players and GM's......
Then the next Big release/nerfing and they rewrite everything anyhows.
None of the history means ANYTHING in GS.
So what if we all hate Dark Elves, they still hang out in the major town centers for healing, by vultures I might add you....No wait!! I role play!!! You say.
Well, I capped out, I didn't do it over night, if you role play, and there really are a few, you're in the minority.
....eh, sorta lost track of where I was going, turned more or less into a general I hate Simu rant! Think I will end this now! lol
Sorry!

If GS sucks so much why do people come out of the wood work to badmouth it, or get others to leave. For WoW, for UL, forever this has been the case. When you're done, be done and move on?

Because if I stumbled upon a treasure chest full of gold coins, I wouldn't keep it all to myself. I'd want to share it with the people I care about. I am only speaking for myself but I encourage my GS friends to try out WoW because there is so much fun to be had that I think they ought to have their share of it. Personally I never told anyone they should close their GS account because GS sucks. GS is great for certain things and while I have my complaints about it, I'll never try to influence someone's decision about closing their GS account or not. I just want them to try out WoW.

Self opinion is always the best opinion, and most often deluded. I wouldn't peep a word about a chest of gold coins except to my wife and to the agency in which I use to auction them. (Thats assuming these gold coins are some relic of some other age since we don't have gold coins anymore.)
Also WoW isn't a chest of gold coins, lol. Its a derivative game based on a semi-popular branded strategy game. AFAIK all blizzard does it take a genre, dumb it down to the mass audience and then package it and sell it. My opinion of WoW, is Yet Another MMORPG, nothing to get excited about. Not to mention Sony beat them to that punch years ago, if you want a dumbed down MMORPG you need look no further than EQ, unless you've been banned or burnt out on that.
Me, I've played them all already and got bored, when I get a free account to WoW I'll try it. But I'm not gonna get excited about another MMOG until it offers something new, entertainment wise. You want something interesting check out There.com, less hype, but much more innovative ideas.

I wouldn't compare World of Warcraft to Everquest, seeing as how the playability of WoW surpasses EQ.
My boyfriend and I tried Everquest once. We couldn't stand it after a while. We then played Dark Age of Camelot. That fad eventually faded away because there was just WAY too much pressure to get older. Now we're both totally addicted to WoW. They're just not the same.
Oh by the way, I haven't played GS since April. I don't see myself playing again.

Something I've noticed in Gemstone is a lot of the events they talk up, saying how great it's going to be, end up being mediocre. That's really starting to get old.
I don't think they're really giving us enough events and general game crap for as much money as we're paying. I really just play to entertain myself with the friends that I've made in the game.
I'd also like to say I'm a total nerd, and I voted as such.

I used to be the total Gemstone addict. Once my main character was capped I kept trying to convince myself I was having fun, but most of my friends had moved on by then and I was pretty bored.
I quit because of this arthritis making it impossible to type, but I was probably headed in that direction anyway. It's kind of boring playing a game you've already 'won'.

I've been gone for good. I'm finished with such time consuming games that require you to have no life and actually live in the game just to get anywhere and build up friends, characters, items, wealth, etc. There's just been far too many awesome games out lately, non-MMORPG's, that are a lot better and provides me with more fun and freedom.

<<games that require you to have no life and actually live in the game just to get anywhere and build up friends, characters, items, wealth, etc.>>
I said to myself over and over when I was all into FF XI that it was gonna be my last MMORPG at least for a good while, because of those reasons. Fortunately you can play WoW, have a life, AND still build up your character and get shit accomplished without the gigantic time investment.

Wish I could vote for two of those, I left for 8 months once and for 5 months a few years before that... and I play more then I should. But I take time off when I get bored... oh well
I'm so bored. So so so so bored. I lack the motivation to do anything. Even my former joy, rolling up new characters, is gone. It feels like there's no potential anymore. I'm so close to selling Lysistrata and all my others and trying (probably unsuccessfully) to merge back into normal society.

I Still play and love gs. I love EqII myself. I've watched friends play WoW, I just prefer EQII's graphic engine and mechanics/ui/and storyline. Its a ton of fun. I dont think it is better or worse than WoW. Each game suits different people. GS is so different that to me, its reading a book vs going to the movies. Sometimes I want to read......GS>...... sometimes I want the visuals.....eq.
