Handed that is... Thought it might be fun to see how many folks here aren't among the majority. If you are ambidextrous list that as well...

I'm a lefty.

Primarily right with some ambidextrality. I ride goofy foot on skate/snow boards and played left wing in hockey with a left handed stick. I can write my name backwards clearly with my left hand.

My father is a lefty, mother righty.

Lefty to extremes. I catch the ball with my left hand, and pitch it with my left hand. This makes it very difficult for me to play ball, for obvious reasons.

I play guitar "right-handed" but to me that IS "left-handed," and all these righties are playing it backward. Since - most of the work is done on the fretboard, and the righty-method has your left hand on the fretboard.

I write right handed. I do almost everything else left handed.

I'm right handed but both parents are lefty's. I write primarily with my right hand but I find when doing odd jobs around my apartment and such I use my left hand more often.

I write with my right hand, but do everything else with my left. I am a southpaw when it comes to shooting which drove my ex hubby crazy. I couldn't use any of his guns so I got to buy anything I wanted.

There's nothing more demeaning than trying to throw left-handed.

Oh, I forgot to mention... I read a study a while back that claimed right handed people live around 7 years longer than left handed people so my fellow leftys prepare to die early! :(

And he still pitched a no-hitter.

Oh yeah, and I'm a righty. Back in catholic school the nuns used to beat me for writing with my left hand because they said it was a sign of the devil + nuns = always correct.

I'm a righty. I am such a spastic when it comes to doing anything left handed except wanking off a bloke. :saint: I am so right handed that when it comes to holding trays I put the whole weight on my right hand and barely use my left to just make sure the tray is level.

What on God’s green Earth would make a nun think that the left hand is the tool of the devil? :?:

Left brained, right handed. Although I drive with my left hand so I can try to look cool and rest my right on the gearshift.

Right handed. Drive largely with my left, however.

It's a travesty.

Years ago, being a lefty was considered an ill-omen. In Colonial days, it was thought that the left hand was the devil's hand. Being left-handed could even get a person accused and convicted of witchcraft. Even within the past century, left-handedness was frowned upon. Teachers and parents of a young lefty would sometimes tie the left hand behind the child's back to discourage use. Nuns in Catholic schools would give a tap in the wrist with a ruler to chastise the child for using his or her left hand. Due to these punishments, there are few true left-handed people in their sixties or older. Those who are left-handed usually have equal or greater use of their right hand, due to years of forced usage.

You can really mess someone up forcing them to use their non-dominant hand. Just look at Stan, he's a Yankees fan. :)

Left handed... I write, throw, fight, pretty much everything left-handed.

Only exception is I bat, golf, and play hockey right handed.

Anyone who has ever driven a manuel transmission will forever drive left-handed... for the most part.

I still feel uncomfortable driving right handed after driving a 5-speed for a couple of years. Right hand is always resting where the stick would be.

In my car, the only thing I use my left hand for is adjusting the entertainment (much  for the industry to put radio/cd controls on the steering wheel), and smoking.

Edited to add, if I have a lovely passenger, I can use my left hand to drive.

Us normal people with our steering wheels on the correct side, always drive right handed and change gear with our left hand.

A red-blooded Yankee invented the car. Ever heard of LORD HENRY FORD. Ungh, what [edit]?

That's right, and the right side of the road too, I might add. Sup.

Ok, fine. No one is bold enough to ask, or, no one cares and I’m just living in a fantasy world. But, knowing people like I do, you’re all drooling.

Ok. I was not the driver of the car, but I made a bus load of people cheer. My gf at the time was driving me home back into Manhatten. You know, I was bored, she had a skirt on, WTF? So we are enjoying this and next thing you know there is two-level bus passing us with people cheering on the top level.

Well, she freaked... slowed down and all, and I laughed MY ASS OFF>

My grandmother went to catholic school and nuns used to hit her left hand all the time, because she was left handed.

So she had to learn how to write with her right hand. Although, she can write with both now. I'll never pretend to understand it. It's just how it was.

Edited to fix my fatigue causing errors.

In tech school we had to learn medical terms for body parts like eyes (God forbid you just say right eye or left eye) and the terms were generally Latin.

Right eye was Oculus (it's been years, odds are I fractured that spelling) Dextra, and the left eye was Oculus Sinestra. To refer to both eyes it was Oculus Unitas.

Since I'm a righty, that was an easy one for me to memorize. I am more dextrous with my right hand. Both eyes, being united, was easy too. Why lefties were regarded as sinister still escapes me.
