About to hit 20, any glaring mistakes or holes before I lose my freebie fixstats/fixskills?

As a dwarf paladin, it's hard to get an almost perfect stat-line for cap. Unfortunately there 5 skills that need to go above 70, to have 100's in everything except Influence. It came down to did I want 100 in Aura or 100 in Dex. The 5 stats that had to be above 70 were Dex, Agi, Aur, Log, and Int. Between Dex and Aura, Dex seemed more important to me. My aura stat would be 90 at cap, which would give me 9 spirit, allowing me to raise anyone. I could have lowered starting aura to like 62 or something, for a cap aura of 85, but I figured the aura was worth more to me than the bonus to influence, and the difference in training points was none between the two.

He is in GoS, and loving it.

any thoughts would be appreciated.

Yes, one, you're a Paladin.

Fuck that. I've been rocking a new Paladin and love it. 1x spells plus eventually a crazy high AS and DS with shield. It's called simplicity, and I love it.

I would suggest getting 25 in Paladin Spell ranks before venturing into minor spirit for 1625. Alternatively you could go to 103, then concentrate on paladin ranks. Everything else seems to be ok.

Fuck off, paladins are awesome!

^^ I'd suggest even trying to get to 1635 for BESEECH purposes, as it can be deed-saving.

I only got that single 101 spell initially, like level 0 when I was training 1x in spells. My plan was to get up to 103 at some point soon, and then stick with paladin for a while.

Should I be trying to 1x in spells? I don't know that I have the MTP for 1x in spells, and everything else. I'm thinking I'll be lvl 30, by the time I have 1625.

Early on as a 2hander it's a little more constricted as far as points go. Going sword/shield could alleviate that somewhat, and would change your play style. I tried ohe/board, 2hand, and polearms and for me I felt like to extra points from sword/shield really gave me a lot to work with(1x spells, Lores, HP, and MOC, with .5x ambush), and between shield bash and 1625 being reliable in proning enemies, ambushing finishes the job quick enough. I'm only 2x in Armor still and wearing augmented plate and feel no rush to get into full plate as I felt the points could be spent elsewhere for a more well-rounded character.

In all fairness, at level 20, pretty much anything will work.

Highly suggest adamantine shield.

Personally I have seen builds that go anywhere from .5 to 1X in spells, 1625 is a great spell and 1635 is an awesome spell. I got the minimum lores I needed to consecrate and then focused on Paladin spells. Now that I have beseech, I am working on spirit. I would like to have 1640 just for the convenience, but the fact is we will never be clerics so it is hard to put emphasis on that over spirit.

Nothing glaring, its a solid build for a THW paladin. I'd just echo the others about spell training.

Another option would be to drop the FA and go .5x in Perception to pump up Armor Use a bit in order to get into mbp as quickly as possible. That would be my focus after getting to 1x in paladin spells. But sticking to 2x would also work, just personal preference.
