Like the title suggests, I am considering consignment of my monthly Gift of Eonak on my forger.

Master of Crafting, One Handed Edged Weapons, Two Handed Weapons.

One Gift of Eonak is Ten crafts, so that should be considered as well.

Have *No* Idea what to charge, obviously if you need me to craft the perfect pieces first, it will be more, based on desired material, and I have *no* special glyphs (I.E. Maul)
If you have glyphs, then that will allow me to make what you want, I will not accept the glyphs in lieu of payment. Your glyphs, your weapons, Silvers for me.

Before we had Eonak, I charged 100k *per attempt* with vultite, but that was a long time ago, and my time's a bit more precious these days.

Anyways, How much does this service usually go for these days, and would anyone on here be interested in purchasing it?

Thanks for your time. -Waka

If you are quick on the draw you can get 12 vises in a gift of eonake. Just be careful with scripting as the RT can be offset a bit and much things up. I have a "Drop right, Pick up handle, pick up head, turn vise" script I use when RT ends.

Personally I wouldn't sell my Gifts for less than 5M, as I feel thats about the value it is to me.

Thanks Ososis, You've always been a paragon of information for me. That being said, I'll accept that for purchase of my Gift of Eonak, If you provide parts.

I had the idea of selling my gifts last EG and worked out the price based on my average success from a gifted vise session. The main issue with this transaction is there is not an easy way to prove to your buyer you actually used a Gift, and your name ends up on the finished piece.

As a master artisan and forger i don't really have a need for this, especially as my main draw is making Ososis weapons. I have a dozen various perfects in storage and 2 gift of the gods waiting so I am probably not your market demographic.

Using gift of Eonak and 12 vises, (assuming master of whatever), on average how many perfects can you expect from that?

From my estimation, at least 2. Generally I've found it seems to be a 1/10 chance under regular circumstances. Given that GoE gives you another roll, doubling that seems reasonable.

My numbers are 0-6 for a session of 12.

Last Gift of Eonak, I got 2 out of 7. At the time I couldn't find *anywhere* that listed the vise time, and I was eager to test it out, so I made 7 sets of perfect handaxe blades and handles, got 5 exquisites, 2 perfects. Of course, later I discovered that steel pieces don't sell nearly as well as other metals, so there's that, but that's what I got. I haven't tested out more than one GoE, so that's the only data I have to go on right now.

I usually get 2-3, I have gotten 0 twice, I got 6 once, 5 twice, and then everything else inbetween. I have never broke a streak and have 2 gifts left over, not sure how many total sessions that is. I think mathematically you go from 10%-19%, with gift, as you can't get 2 in one forge it doesn't quite double your odds.

Many folks like mithril as its the easiest to enchant or ensorcell, but thats like saying doughnut holes are the easiest to eat, while its true, anyone with a working mouth can still eat a regular doughnut just fine.

If you are working with a rare/expensive metal do you gift only for viceing or do you use your gift to make perfect head/handles? (havent forged in years, feel like a noob again)

Well, the catch is, rare/expensive metals take a LOOOOOOOOOOONG time to forge. Vultite is 540 seconds per round, number of rounds are determined by the end product. Trying to use an Eonak wouldn't really be cost-effective for one, cause you'd rarely get more than one round in an Eonak timeframe. The best you can do to reduce expenses with expensive metals would be to measure the slab with the glyph you'd be using, and cut them exactlly to weight, therefore maximizing the number of weapons per slab. A Fumble would cause a pound of material to be lost, but if you weren't forging daggers to begin with, that piece of metal could still be used for a smaller weapon.

You should also probably list your race/prof or does that have no effect on vise?

Dark Elven Warrior Heh, bonus to crafting, small bonus to forging, being a warrior gives me a small handicap to crafting, small bonus to forging, so bonuses all around!

Only use gift at the vise, unless you have a ton of them. They only last 15 minutes, far more effective to use at the vise where each attempt is 70 seconds.
