View Full Version : Why I hate insurance companies

Not that anyone but me would really care about this, but I am so steamed, I must subject whoever reads this to my rant.

So.. I get a bill today for 1100 bucks, because apparantly the zillion dollars I pay a month for insurance doesn't cover my prenatal care.

They cover the specialists I had to see because of a possibly pregnancy related brain stem disorder that caused me to go blind, and the kidney problems the baby strain is causing.

But the baby itself.. is SOL.
Stupid bastards.

Insurance companies do suck. I feel like I'm working for the devil. I can not wait to get out of the industry.

Are you sure they don't pay for prenatal? They should. Up here it's a mandate.

Odd, and sad if not.

I, too, detest insurance companies. You've got my sympathy and understanding, hon. You'd think the idiots would want to be a little proactive and pay for pre-natal treatment that might avoid catastrophic problems later on.

Makes me glad we live in Massachusettes. We cover prenatal care on a mandate.

Damn.

You have no idea how badly I miss Mass, especially these days, Auntie Ang.... But I had to leave civilization.... heh

Hopefully something will work itself out. If I don't have faith in something, I'm gonna lose what few marbles I have left.

But I still hate them ;)

You are glad about living in Mass? Oh man I hate it so much. I work for Massmutual Insurance and I'm still paying up the ass for auto and home.

YOU ARE WORKING FOR THE DEVIL!!!!

That actually made me laugh this morning. Warriorbird working for an insurance company. Why do I picture you pulling the "Mr. Incredible" on your own company...

Because its really tempting? I'm pretty sure they violated code on my last client.

Well...if my interviews today go well... who knows. I don't think I'll call the Commissioner until I'm OUT of the industry, however.

What industry are you trying to get into?

Hell yeah. Porn would be hot.

What I'm really looking for is something customer service that doesn't require me to drive all over the place. I've got interviews with a medical supplies company and a safety products company today in CS kinda roles. I've earned a fair amount at sales, but I've begun to hate it. My wife also complains.

If I lived in Florida, I'd give you a call. I'd love to work in either of the two hotels right next to my apartment, but neither are hiring.

I don't hire BHLs unless my diversity plan demands it. Last thing I need is someone giving away my rooms to the local bums.

:P

Realistically, I'm pretty libertarian. Sadly, that's not a viable choice in American politics.
