Thinking of starting a halfling warrior, but the height and lack of HP concerns me. I have been playing a paladin giantman where the ton of HP has made a huge difference. I know this is an old argument, but do any halfling warriors out there regret the lack of HP or ability to ambush heads?

Thanks in advance for the feedback

Kneecap first, head second. Problem solved.

Theres a few halfling warriors, seems like theres always one or two about, basically you need to really on avoiding hits at lower levels, after that you wouldn't be much different than any other warrior. Leg then head works on almost every critter.

What Ardwen said.

Smaller race warriors do just fine, even Gnomes.

Combat toughness helps, too.

That being said, I did find that my elf warrior most often died by getting knicked to death, mostly in warcamps. Get ewaved for 20 seconds, stack a little more RT in there, and suddenly those hits of 4-5 HP each started to add up.

The upside to halfling warriors is the insane AGI/DEX, which makes them really shine with TWC. With a high enough AGI/DEX, you don't have to hold some dinky weapon in your off-hand, so you can go berserk with 2 handaxes or morning stars or something cool like that.

Also, the +40 elemental TD and +20 sorc TD halflings get will help immensely, I'd imagine.

And sure, you can't carry anything, but at least berserk ignores encumbrance.

The ambush thing is kind of annoying. My halfling rogue has to ambush twice where taller rogues can swing once and be done with it.

If the tactic is Berserk, AGI/DEX doesn't matter to the weapon base as you are attacking per round (~5 sec) not roundtime. But it definitely helps if your normal swings or aiming (ambush), depending on your bonus thresholds and weapon base.
