Simucon is alot of fun. You have events like the live auction, design a creature,weapon, or spell, then the blindfolded pvp tourney. alot of hanging out and gaming.

I'm trying to assess whether it is worth going as I could pair it with a trip mto visit friends in St. Louis. Though I'm honestly kinda bummed now that I never bothered to attend Simucon in the 90s or early 2000s when it was probably a better attended event.

Reflex blue is a base color that doesn't require mixing, 662 is just reflex blue with a tiny splash of yellow mixed in with it, nobody would notice the difference.

Ha! I got started in a lithography shop pulling paper for the pressmen. Moved to prepress then 4 color stripping. Eventually became a scanner operator and retoucher for a shop in NY.

You're paying for initial costs such as design, cost for the silk screen, machine make ready time etc.

After your initial costs all your paying for is materials, labor and machine time. I would imagine most of your upfront cost is in making the screen which could probably be used for thousands of lanyards. Most likely they will keep your silk screen stored on a shelf for a few years.

They can probably only order the blank lanyards in x amounts, so they would end up having to store whatever blanks they have left. Production type industry is moving further and further away from keeping inventory on hand for a wide variety of reasons.
