Kinda a fluff idea - quite literally. But, I'm tired of looking at people and seeing this giant novel sized paragraph blob. I know a lot of people use moonstones or whatever to hide it all but really I don't think it should come down to this - the equivalent of sweeping things under the rug.
So, I figured whenever you look at someone in real life there are a few key aspects of his/her outfit that standout which is really based on the size. I.E. a person's jacket or shirt is going to standout more then his wristwatch or bracelet. In-game all the pieces are just in the blob, so why not organize things by size and placement?
First, I would have it sort a characters stuff by weight. Veil Iron Plat Armour : 67 Lbs -> Earrings : less 1 lbs. Then I would place items according to inventory slot head, chest, shoulder, front etc. Then have it display this out in diagram format. I.E.
......................................[Hair] : Dirty blonde tied back in a pony-tail
......................................[Face] : A deep scar across the right eye
......................................[Head] : Veil Iron Greathelm
......................................[Neck] : A Crimson Eahnor Medallion
................................[S h o u l d e r s] : A Black Spidersilk Backpack
......................................[Chest] : Veil Iron Breastplate
.......................................[ETC.]
I could also have it pick out colors from the primary description and change the font colors to that color.
The biggest problem or rather workload comes from collecting the data for each item and their respective weights. However, I figure I'll fudge it a bit and make general common sense conditions - a greathelm>metal cap>earrings so that way an index of base items in the game is really all thats needed.
