Anybody can give pointers in a good training plan for a Paladin and stats also. I've seen what most people do to their Paladins, but not sure if i can fit my training into it. Can i get some suggestions please.

[edit: Don't do THW as a paladin. The extra damage isn't worth it, because we can't generate the extra DS that the other two semi professions can nor do we get the redux of squares.]

Here's my paladin. I've never had a really physical semi, never played a warrior so I'm rather limited with my knowledge of the whole - heavy armor, shield, dodge, CM, MOC stuff. Anyone care to comment on her? I plan to keep her blunt/board but any pointers on the rest would be great.

You'd probably be ok with:
Less CM (1x is fine)
More PT (2x is optimal)
More shield use (2x is optimal)
Less MoC (You really don't need it at all and 1x is more than enough)
And then maybe more spells (so you're 1xed) and more HP (so you're 1xed)

So a good paladin should use a shield and a one hander then? Less MoC and put more into CM? Train more in armor so i can wear brig and 1x in spell and lore?

IMO, wearing brig as a paladin is a waste. 2x armor so you can get into atleast MBP. Our spell hindrances are the lowest of any circle, actually being less than the maneuver hindrances until the plate types. Getting into full plate with the lowest hindrance takes 150 ranks, which you can do mid 70s. MBP takes 90 ranks, which you can do mid-40s. Taking advantage of the heavy armor to make up for the lack of a phantom dodge spell makes sense (to me).

You can couple the fact that paladins have low hindrance with the fact that most of their spells are cast BEFORE the fighting and there you go. Hinderance doesn't really matter unless you're running around casting 1602 on everyone, or something.

It's pretty sloppy right now. 90% sure I'm going to get rid of all those blessing ranks. My PT right now totally sucks, but I'm kind of playing this guy by ear. I haven't played a spellcasting character since my Cleric, which was over five years ago. It's still totally fun to play, though. I'm in love with the Paladin spell set, especially 1605.
