Christmas lights?

Well, I'm going to pick out a paint for my appartment tomorrow (my room) and I decided to paint my room a dark red. I'm going for a sweet modern look and am at a cross roads...

Yes or no to the Christmas lights on the walls? Y'know, the cool colored ones running the length on all four walls. What do YOU think?

I had Christmas lights on my walls when I was like, 18 and trying to impress the ladies in college. It gave a subtle mood and the chicks dug it.

Well I don't know how many chicks dig the Christmas lights, but me and my roommate would sleep with you! The lights add a subtle sensual glow about the room. :smilegrin:

Christmas lights in general look stupid, why would you of all people put them in your room on the walls? Are you going to put those stupid chair beads on your furniture too? You might as well scrap the whole idea and go goth with a few nine inch nails and marilyn manson posters....and a candle shrine to satan....ya damn nazi.

Yup, THOSE things. Or the beads that 99.99999999999995353351% of the NYC Cab drivers have on their seats. Those things prove that people will buy anything.

The only place christmas lights look cool (I think) is between the curtains on a four poster bed, the icicle lights.

But that's girlie and you would probably get laughed at for it.

By all means, deck the walls with little, glittering lights.

Christmas light bulbs are fucking awesome to throw out your window onto the concrete. They make this awesome pop. Also regular light bulbs too, but it's not as fun :(

So far I have overwhelming support. Unless my camera was stolen recently I will be posting pictures in the next few days.
