Since the changes in GS4, what effect has it had on the rogue guild? My elder (which i haven't played in a while) mastered everything in GS3 but gambits and now I hear something about some lockpicking skills that you need ranks in etc? Anyone have the lowdown on the guild changes?

Oh and here's a rogue polling question:
Which CMAN skills are you choosing or do you feel are the best?
Right now i've chosen
1) Dirtkick to distract the spell casters - 5 ranksw
2) Shadow mastery for some reason even though I'm 2x'ing in stalking and hiding - 3 ranks
3) Silent Strike - that is pretty cool - 5 ranks

The only real change to the guild is that all of the offensive skills (sweep, subdue, cheapshots) take stamina now. You can spend CMP points, but having ranks in the combat maneuver version does not help the guild version.

I'd go with silentstrike.

Also, how many guild ranks you can get is no longer level based, but exp. based. (Something like 1 gld rank per 12k. Don't quote me on that.)

You may no longer promote yourself. :(

You can train in more than one skill at a time, now.

That's all I can think of.

I have 5 ranks of ShadowMastery, and I absolutely love it. Sneaking around with 1 second RT + Ambush DS pushdown = Hot Damn.
5 ranks of cutthroat. If you wanted something to take care of pures, (and everyone else in game) here's what you want. They can't cast or talk if you get them good enough.
And some piddly 2 or 3 ranks of Weapon somethingorother. Some AS booster, whatev.

At the cost of 35 ranks of CM, and you get the ambush pushdown even without shadow mastery.

Falgrin has Shadowmastery, weapon specialization, garotte and cutthroat I think. Maybe a rank in groin kick as well.. just for emergencies.

Lockmastery is the new skill, and you need it for some kinds of traps (plates).

Edaarin had the following:

Combat Focus focus 5
Shadow Mastery smastery 5
Disarm Weapon disarm 5
Silent Strike silentstrike 5
Specialization I wspec1 5
Specialization II wspec2 3

Available Combat Maneuver Training Points: 7

Also, I wouldn't recommend training in lockmastery unless you have ready access to a whole lot of boxes. It took me roughly 2000-2500 boxes to get 30 ranks.
