Sancted Shield? Enchanter Question...

I poured on an Ora Shield out of the fodder, no enhancives detected. The crystal just says 'orange beam' but when I try to pour on it, the potion / temper won't take! So is it sancted? Wouldn't the crystal let me know?

Is a Sanctified shield worth much without a spike or something? Are they rare at 4x?

Sancted show "A silver nimbus glows for a moment around your [item].". Double check the AI, it could be weighted or some dumb shit too.

Also make sure you are using the correct potion. Mistakes happen.
