I was just messing with ya. My wisdom teeth never really gave me trouble. I do however have a molar that a filling fell out of and I've wanted to take a screwdriver and hammer and smash it out.
I have ingrown wisdom teeth, they are pushing on my molars and I refuse to have surgery for them.
That is all.
Jeeez all that sounds so bad.
:help:
But Im gonna come outa this and nothing will touch me ever again.
This has been the worst.

Uhm.. I think all wisdom teeth are "ingrown". But when they stay "ingrown" they are called impacted and the surgery is not bad at all, just an incision and they knock you out for it. Do it man you will feel great.

...so long as you don't plan on eating or engaging in any other jaw-related activities for a few days.

Try all that without pain pills..... Sucks real bad. It sucks not being able to take any pain pills.

and I hope you don't smoke. Dry socket is fun. OH and since your wisdom teeth have a chance to be directly connected to your sinus cavities there always the chance for major failure/infection/bleeding. But really, go do it.
Ah fuck it!
It's worth it just for the general anaesthetic.

I had my wisdom teeth out, they were impacted very badly. They had to cut a channel into the back of my mouth, go down, cut the teeth into four pieces, and extract them that way. All four teeth.
Plus, I have horrible reactions to anesthetic.. so I 1. puked unconsciously in the middle of the surgery and ended up with a nasty infection, and 2. Didn't wake up for 6 hours, when I should only have been out for one.
However, once the infection was gone, the healing process wasn't really all that bad. You just have to abide by the rules and not fuck up. The recovery, even with the infection, didn't hurt as bad as the teeth coming in.

A perc for me might cure a minor headache that's about it.....
heheh
Trust me they feed you Morphine and valium to knock you right down . .
and it IS enjoyable.
But like Maimara said , I have the worst tolerance for that shit. .
Guess thats why it gets me soo wrecked.

I'm not sure about wisdom teeth... but let me turn this topic to me, ME ME ME ME ME.
When I was a kid, like Bob's age, I went over the handle bars of my bad ass bike (WITH banana seat I'll have you know). Teeth went through the lip and I broke half of my front left tooth off.
Root canal, many years later, goes bad, cracks in the back, where I can't see, and creates an abcess, that ultimately eats some of my bone up in the top of my jaw.
So, I can get dentures, another root canal (with very very bad odds of it sticking), or, this process where they take bone marrow from your hip, or your own lower jaw, and implant it in the old cavity, to rebuild the bone.
Being the dumb man that I am, I chose to do the marrow withdraw and impant awake, with local shots. Let me be clear on this. The process is they cut away the flesh/muscle, and SCRAP the bone to get fragments, to implant in the hole and they 'seed' the bone. The is not enough local painkiller possible to be injected for the whole process, IMHO.
Anyway, after it grows for 9 months, they then punch a hole right through it and implant a titanium screw, with a horizontal hole in it for the bone to grow through. I can probably open a can with my tooth now, if I were inclined. Better than mother nature gave me, according to my surgeon. I'm happy now, but it was a miserable 12 month process.
Oh, for the screw, I got wise and let them put me under for that... MUCH better process.
My kids will brush and floss 3 times a day!

I won't take pain pills, any pain pillsl. There really isn't a pain pill out there that could help me through any amount of pain unless I took a dose that would kill someone else, which a doctor won't give me anyway. I haven't taken a pain pill in years, so my tolerance might be normal again but I don't know how that works, and I won't test it anyway.
The story by hobbit mage . . . wow
thats the most miserale thing I've heard yet on the subject.
good thing it turned out okay though, real glad for ya pal.
Oh and scott . . I'd anything to have a tolerance like yours, mine is pathetic.

I don't think you would want to do what I did to build up a tolerance like mine. Going through surgery, teeth pulling, etc. without being able to take ANYTHING sucks, bad. I'd much rather be able to be floored from something then not being able to take it at all.
Ahh . . Good point.
