How did these end up working with greater fire flaring gloves?

I have a pair of the gloves. It's pretty badass having greater elemental flares with a low rt weapon. I've used them with ebladed brawling weapons before, but the greater elemental flares occur half as often as they would normally (though it's cool getting two flare types at once). I'd imagine that using the greater flaring paingrip with the gloves would basically just mean that you get the greater flares at the normal rate, but with the bonuses and penalties that come with using a brawling weapon. Though I guess you'd have the potential for both gloves and paingrip to flare simultaneously, which would be pretty sweet.

Also, I think when you jab/punch/grapple with UAC, it will only flare from gloves/main-hand, so having two of them wouldn't benefit your overall UAC flare rate, right? I can only see using two of these with TWC attacks in order to maximize the flares effectively.

All 3 will flare. So potential for 6 flares in one attack. They just lowered the flare rates for each item. Not sure if it ends up working out in the end.

Each one flares at 1/N where N is the number of equipment involved in the attack. So N=3 when you have UAC gloves and two held brawling weapons, so each one flares at 1/3 of its normal rate.

In did the math, and you start with 20% flare rate on each item, you have about an 19% chance of at least one item flaring on any given attack. So slightly less than normal chance of a flare with just UAC gloves. But as Halrik says, you now have the chance of all flaring at once, I guess.
