I asked this question a few times recently, and it seems no one knew for sure.

You swing a sturdy kelyn claidhmore at a phosphorescent worm!
AS: +209 vs DS: +96 with AvD: +32 + d100 roll: +2 = +147
... and hit for 100 points of damage!
A mighty hit turns the phosphorescent worm's insides to outsides!
A phosphorescent worm slumps to the ground, its glowing form now motionless and dull.
Roundtime: 6 sec.

Was a rank 9 ab crit.

32 AvD: doubles or cuirboulli
If doubles, .475 * 47 = 22.3 raw damage. Rank 9 requires 54 damage -> at least 32 points weighting
If cuirboulli, .500 * 47 = 23.5 raw damage. Rank 9 requires 63 damage -> 40 points weighting

So on that swing, it definitely packed more punch than the 5 points of weighting that F2Ps are otherwise limited to. Unless the worms have huge negative crit padding, I guess.

Weapons with natural weighting like katanas and claidhmores are not f2p restricted.

>>Despite the documentation, claidhmores work just fine for F2P.
>Maybe not for much longer ;)

Claidhmore (and katana) natural weighting is intentionally discounted with regard to F2P limitations.
