I'm looking for a paid solution as opposed to one of those programs that is always begging to be upgraded. I use Windows 10, but I imagine most everyone does here anyway.

The built in AV/Malware is just as good as paid solutions that are going to try to do things you dont really need them to do. Its all just security theater. Unless you are in the habit of opening stupid things and going to questionable places, you aren't going to be able to stop the 0 day infections that are most common anyway (which are fairly rare to begin with).

This.

The most important thing you can do it keep your browser updated.

Most antivirus software actually just adds attack vectors, instead of removing them.

tl;dr
The only one really worth bothering running is Windows Defender

Alright. Fair enough. I have Defender enabled. I'll leave it at that.

Used or use? Cause if it's present tense I'm afraid I'll have to ask you to leave the thread.

I have a nice patch management system at work that automatically finds all the updates needed for the software on all of our workstations and deploys them from a central location. Does anyone know if there is an individual patch management system like that available? One that does everything, not just windows products?
