I have two premium contest wins for March that, well, I don't really have any use for. So, the MB is 1m each and you can choose from the below services. If nobody wants them, I'll use them for L/D, I suppose.

Scroll 1 - CB: 4m cwolff SOLD
Scroll 2 - CB: 4m cwolff SOLD

Flares added to any plain weapon/armor/shield 5x or under. (Choice of: fire, cold, electric, or earth flares)
A single lighten OR deepen for an item.
A simple description alteration.
Messaging change for a transport jewelry item from the premade list.
Recharge of 10 charges to a magical or enhansive item.
Temporary "heavy" weighting or padding to any plain weapon/armor 5x or under.

Any idea how long the temporary padding lasts?

No, but I'm curious myself. I'll ask.

Yeah, they're in prime. Like an alter scroll, you'll hand me your stuff and I'll get it done and give it back to you.

How much to add flares?

Can the flares be added to greaves?

Thanks!

on 5, plain = nothing from the charts of clarity, including no crit padding/weighting, no flares, no combat scripts, no resistance, no forging, no enhancive, etc.?

Isn't the charts of clarity already limiting enough on what you cannot add padding to?

BriarFox

Should be able to add the flares to greaves or such, but I'm not sure. I think it's mostly an issue of whether the flare spot is already taken up.

What does adding flares to armor / shield do?

Going by standard 15 15?

What does adding flares to armor / shield do?

Adding to armor adds active AND reactive flares. So if you tackle someone it could flare, and when people hit you it could flare.

Shield flares are active only, meaning they can flare only when using an offensive shield attack.

If you mean for the alter, you can do a regular long alter but not a show.

So, as for the padding, I got an answer, but it doesn't say much.

You know, in asking around on how best to answer your question, it was concluded that there's no real way to quantify how long the temp padding lasts. It is dependant on how often you get hit.

Hm. Ok, that makes sense. Can you give me an approximate number of hits?

There is a percent chance that it'll degrade on a successful hit, so again, there's not really a way to give an estimate.

My guess is that it works on a charge basis, like an enhancive, with a percent chance to use a charge on a hit.

This is correct. Temp padding is a good, cheap padding solution if you don't take hits very often.

I'm not sure what you mean. You can get flares on plain 5x gear or lower with these.

So, the scrolls give the flares?

Forgive my ignorance. I'm learning here. I'm looking for flaring greaves, helms and/or aventails. Apparently I misunderstood the first post. I thought you were selling scrolls and some services which included adding flares.

The scroll is a "service scroll" allowing you to get any ONE of the listed services done to an item, then the scroll vanishes.
While I do believe this service could add flares to armor accessories, the price point is pretty beyond what you should pay for THAT service. Some spiked, flaring, something resist greaves went for 1M recently on PC, and I am fairly sure there are some available in playershops for less than that if you are just looking for flares. Hope that's helpful.

Fox is selling a service he (assuming gender, my bad) won and is auction of this service. You chose what you want done, and he claims his prize and uses it on your choice of item and service.
you want your plain old boring greaves to have a fire flare? Bid, Win, and give the Item to Briar and he (there I go again) will get it done for you.

You were very kind to explain rather than to disdain.

Thank you.
