So earlier today, there was a thread in the General Gemstone folder by http://forum.gsplayers.com/member.php?11551-Massive-Troll-King pertaining to EG hearts, and not having the opportunity to get one. The thread can no longer be found, was it deleted? And if so, why?

A HUGE part of the whole SF debacle was him manipulating content. I get in that instance it was self-serving, but I don't need to be shielded from threads here.

I DO understand the difference. So why didn't you go scorched earth on his entire account, and all related accounts if that was the case? Just delete him from PC in it's entirety. I don't care about Macgyver, and troll threads don't bother me either, but wouldn't you rather have the information public, so people can see it and say to themselves "Oh, that guy is <insert troll here>, I'll just ignore him".

Actually, this was my first time not going full scorched earth on one of his threads. As I've been becoming more familiar with what i have available in the mod folder, there's a subforum for deleted threads folder. I can restore and lock if there are that strong enough feelings about it. But even having a slew of locked content sends a fairly shitty message to a new poster as well, so id rather avoid that. I wasn't aware so much of the history would be maintained on the individual poster accounts, so ill likely do a combination of the two in the future.

As a point of reference, I've deleted about 5 threads started by him since I took over. This was the only one that got to multiple pages before I was notified.

What's worse is people do this in game as well. Not just to stalk others, but to also circumvent negative press. Not sure what's worse, the same person roleplaying multiple accounts/characters in the game and in LNET simultaneously, or someone trying to do that on the forums.

To be brutally honest, none of my threads were trolling if you look at each objectively. Sure, I had some uncouth and perhaps "edgy" topics but notice how those topics went several pages meaning the demand for such discussion is desired in one form another. I'm not a crazy person (as you may believe) if something doesn't work I would politely stop posting said subject(s).

This idea that I'm a troll really stems from 2 points. First, I give frequent dissenting views on sensitive GS-related topics and for some odd reason or another this is seen as trolling. Second, frankly, there seems to be a lot of wishy washy people who can't seem to independently come to their own decisions and would rather just "fit-in" to whatever the mob thinks. These two aspects created the macgyver troll, that is to say, you guys created me. All I did was just sell you what you wanted.

Sometimes people have difficulty taking responsibilty for their own actions and it's just easier to blame a common scapegoat or "troll". That's fine. I don't mind taking on that role. But to say you guys are all blameless is really conceited.
