So I shocked myself by getting a 5x enchant with Headless who is 44 I think and trained as a Battlemage, nothing like a Pure/Enchanter. The messaging was 'nearly impossible' but he got it with 'a decent attempt'. This is encouraging, I used to enchant quite a bit with my wizard Fink in Plat. But I'm not sure what to sell 6x brig or 5x greatswords or whatever for. I just did a 5x broadsword for my Rogue who specs in broadswords (is he the ONLY one currently in the game who specs in these weapons? Slimeface does this solely for the fish spine sword which is her blade up to 100 and she is now like 23 or something).

Anyway, what is 5x like 600k? 6x 1.5mil? Too low too high? I see prices for enchanters but those guys are real solid, high trained and have everything covered, plus they are taking specific items up that are valuable to the owner and all that. But what's just off the rack 6x?

It shows your successes in your current state, not an ideal state.

So if you cast it encumbered outside your locker, you might get "nearly impossible", but if you unload and cast it in a workshop with your familiar present, you'll see better chances.

2m/4m/6m were the rates I've seen lately for a standard 5x/6x/7x project. More if it requires a pretemper potion (sancted/enhancive). That's not how much a 5x/6x/7x item is worth, that's how much the enchanter's time is worth.

Prices might be in flux a little bit with the enchanting changes, but that remains to be seen.

It was nearly impossible in the workshop but he got a 'decent' cast and it was a success.

Ya, that's a lot higher than I expected.
