I got a bit tired of my dark elf ranger, so decided i'd go with something a lil better....and go dwarven, but thing is, I wanna go a viable path thats not to common. Brawling/archer has been a thought, specially with a crossbow, but i don't know if hiding is affordable that way...I'm looking for any suggestions as to a fairly reasonable and new (nothings new in this world) path to go, would prefer COL but I can work with Voln if i'm gonna brawl.

Brawl without voln is pretty useless if you are going ranged as well.
Fu works well at less than 2x brawling (I currently 1.5x brawling) but I wouldnt consider anything less than 2x ranged.

I also .75 dodge
2x stalking and hiding
and do plenty of other stuff too.

so brawl/ranged you can still afford to hide and ambush? If so thats prolly the way to go, sounds like a good idea, and having the brawling training you would get the extra defense from having an open hand with a bow would ya not?

No. The bow goes in the left hand, so you don't get extra DS.

Still not a bad Idea, with spells like Camo and all, going into hiding and being able to stay with archery and all. Another question, Is CMan affordable with this plan as well as 1x ranger spells?

Cman for archers is pointless IMO
Shadow mastery is ok
Mfire is shit
Weapon spec I dont know enough about but hasnt grabbed my attention as something I need so that gets a thumbs down.
CM points are too expensive for rangers to be wasting on something that is just ok.
I took all my CM points and put them back into brawling with the fixskills. Never been happier.

So Cman isn't improtant in Brawling MB or anything?

Nieninque

alright, well I spose I've got my path selected then, I'll grab up a crossbow from my inventory and start going at it....OH YEAH, Important part....Gonna need a lil help with stat placement, and skills posting I think i could do but if ya wish throw those down there too, Remember this ranger's a bit different since going with the dwarf aspect, but Always a dwarf at heart.

Every 10 ranks your MB increases by 1.

I had a dwarven ranger archer. Works well in my opinion.

Every 10 ranks [of CM] your MB increases by 1.

Nope, CM doesn't affect MB.

Falgrin's a dwarf rogue archer isn't he?

Nope, I'll let him tell you the name of his if he wants, I'm not sure if it's a secret or anything.

Anyone able to to give me Ideas with Stat's for this archer/fu'er, I'ma start out working with script ratting with a two hander I think just till I get to a point of where I will end up being able to make the switch to where I wanna be permanantly, but some Idea's would be veyr helpful

I could have sworn it did, but then I tried to verify with Patron's Blessing. I was wrong.

I thought CM did play a small role in MB as artha did. Was it changed recently or something? I know it used to, granted it wasnt much but it did play a small part.

Falgrin wouldn't use little sticks to hurt people. He has a giant cleaver.

Sithral on the other hand loves to shove sharp pointed arrows into people's eyes that screw with him.

edit: They arent exactly what you are looking for but putting together stats and skills for a new character shouldn't be based on what other people say alone, some should be what your preferences are. Also depending on how fast you want the stats to grow. We shouldn't do all the work for you.

I rellocated him after that posting because he now has some CM ranks for Smastery and Mfire. Not sure what I dropped to get it.. but he's like level 33 or 34 now.

the crosspost fits better as I dont believe he is looking to add CM into their training plan.

You can ask.. but I no longer play, so I have no idea. I do know I put an emphasis on power and not so much on long term development.
