How much do people actually get pick pocketed anyway? I've only seen it occur a couple times and it's usually Candor or the usual suspects.

I've never actually used the skill other than using it in a joking way.

I constantly steal, but I have zero pickpocketing skill and its funny to get caught.

Thing is, the real pickpockets you don't know because they simply play it smart, pick their targets well and, simply don't get caught. I know the names of a few really good ones who I won't out, but I've seen them come away with a good pile of gems from a gathered crowd. (Hint: Watch for a sanct to randomly drop for a few moments.)

I agree Narthsin, I trained my rogue with 202 ranks of pickpocketing and played around with it and was really surprised at how you can setup the right circumstances to theive with impunity. Couple that with gambits to do things quietly and you have a really interesting (if not dastardly) way of providing lots of entertainment.
