I have a complex question...

I'm not sure if this is even possible, but I figured I'd ask someone who knows more about these things than me.

I have a character that I'm mitigating points on, and I'd like to keep him logged in while on my home PC. However, sometimes I'd like to log in that character while on my laptop when I have some downtime at work. Is it possible to run a script to log that character in remotely after I'm finished on the laptop? And if possible, how would I go about doing that?

Don't think a script can run while the game itself isn't logged on from said system. I think your best bet would do as Ososis said - Set up the remote access via your pc from your laptop (and set it up to where only -you- have access).

Just my thoughts on it, tho.

I'm not making any assumptions, but on the note of remote login I wanted to bring up scripting violations. If you remote to your PC, and start a script running, then lose remote connection, you can get a ding and the "remote login" is not considered an excuse. I assume you probably have decent connection so wouldn't run into an issue, but depending on what you want to be doing at work it may be better to PLAY on your laptop, then remote-login login to let him sit. If there is any chance you would need to say, slam your laptop at work without being able to end your remote script. Just something to consider with your setup.

My brain is a mess so sorry if those thoughts are a mess.

I literally won't be scripting at all. I'd be putting the character in rest mode sitting at a table (while on the PC) just to mitigate points. I'd be playing him on the laptop.

What keeps me from remote logging into my PC from my tablet is the fear I would lose connection but a script would keep running on my PC

Good tip^
I'm able to do a full logout from my phone, which is helpful for power failures.
