7X/6X Acuity ROTFLARES Runestaff

T2 Ensorcell - It is T2 only because my sorcerer isn't old enough to take it further and I am to cheap to take it further.
Asked Zaoloo to test it for me and this was his results.
Zaoloo whispers, "You sense that the glowbark runestaff has already been permanently ensorcelled 2 times and that you can only fail if you are horribly unlucky."

Rotflares are simply amazing and they only get better with more training. There actually aren't that many runestaves with the flares. I think someone did a count and I believe it was under 10 of them. They also aren't being released often at all.

I'm at 162 sorc ranks, not quite maxed on emc/smc 130 ranks in each and maxed on everything else concerning ensorcell. Also I was just on a regular node, not a workshop.

6x/4x T3 ensorc T4 Nervestaff with Rotflares sold for 75m so this one has a higher enchant/acuity but doesn't have the nervestaff feature.

Maybe that's the one you're thinking of?

Can rotflares proc on to things that were hit by splash damage and not an actual direct hit?

tl;dr:
~25% flares with 0 necro ranks (with a pike - did not test with runestaff), 100% flares with 171 necro ranks
10-per disease with 0 necro ranks, 75-per with 180 necro ranks
Disease first triggers 2-3 seconds after first hit, then every 30 seconds.
I think it was 19 avg damage for the per-hit flare, and 9 avg damage for the DoT flare (and the invisible disease is separate from DoT).
I have not noticed it flare on a splash (713 or 111). Pretty sure I would've noticed by now. But it makes lovely screen-scrolly flares with mstrike (http://forum.gsplayers.com/showthread.php?98402-Log-sorcerer-mstriking-with-rotflares&highlight=mstriking) (and I've gotten 2 more mstrike targets since then!) That generally wouldn't apply to a runestaff user, though I also have some runestaff logs in that thread.

Looks like roughly 8 rotflares runestaves as of late 2015. Not sure if anything has gone out since then.
