Did anyone else play this game? For those that haven't, the gameplay is similar to Metroid or Castlevania. It's a side-scrolling game with modern graphics. The artwork was similar to a Miyazaki movie like Princess Mononoke. The graphics were stellar, and the music was even better! It was an emotional rollercoaster even from the first 15 minutes. It's only like $20 on Steam! I definitely rate it a 5/5.

Here's the trailer:

Metroidvania, you say? It sounds right up my alley. I'll give the video a gander in a bit.

This is one of the best games I have ever played in my life. The graphics are very appealing as is the gameplay and difficulty. This is a must for anyone with an Xbox

It's not Xbox exclusive. I have it on my PC!

This game and Cuphead were like, THE two games that would've made me kind of/sort of want an Xbox. It's good to see them coming to PC.

You should try Tale of Two brothers if you like games that tug on your heart strings

Valiant Hearts was another game that tugged on my heart strings... especially the last 10 minutes of the game.

I got it for free when Durakar and I invested in a barely open box XBox One system last year and he hand I alternated playing it. I loved it and thought it was a very asthetically pleasing game with a beautifully written story, despite it's seemingly simple premise

Had some family visit this past year and our niece fired it up and couldn't stop playing it for the entire week.

yup this is one in my steam library. Fucking beautiful game and defines what a sidescroller should be.

So if I wanted to play this on PC, do I just need a controller for my PC to do so? Other than GS, I'm not much in to gaming but this looks like one I might want to try.

I loved it. The art style is great, the music is good enough that I've listened to the soundtrack a few times since playing it, and they use some simple but really well done mechanics to change the way that you have to play enough in certain areas to keep it fresh.
